Even though their romance is hot and heavy right now, Genoa City’s steamiest couple will soon see a bump in the road ahead. Here’s what you need to know.

With all of the courtroom drama surrounding JT Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) supposed death and Rey getting fired from the Genoa City Police Department, you’d think that they would want to take a long break and maybe leave town for a while.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Mia Rosales Throwing A Huge Curve-Ball

But unfortunately, Sharon and especially Rey can’t do that. That’s because Rey’s estranged wife Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) is about to throw a huge curve-ball in their direction. After all, Mia isn’t the kind of person who is going to give up without a fight.

Actor Jordi Vilasuso, who plays Rey on the hit CBS soap, told Soaps in Depth in a new interview: “Sharon and Rey have suffered so much. Rey just wanted them to be happy for awhile! But Sharon found out and got into his face about it. It definitely causes conflict for them.”

And while it looks like Mia isn’t letting go of her man any time soon, Vilasuso is very optimistic about Rey and Sharon’s future together.

That is if they manage to get past all of the drama that Mia will most likely throw in their direction. As much as Rey wants to be with Sharon, he still has his ex-wife to deal with.

“They have to face the reality of the situation. But Sharon is a lovely human being and there is love and understanding between them,” Vilasuso added. “I think they will be able to start on this new path together, wherever it may lead!”
