Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cassie Newman Returns

Camryn Grimes who played Cassie Newman on Y&R has announced via Twitter that fans can expect to see Cassie visiting her mother Sharon.  At this point spoilers are rather vague, is she a ghost, a dream, or the real deal?

It was way back in May 2005 that The Young and the Restless character Cassie Newman (played by Camryn Grimes) died in a car crash while driving Daniel Romalotti from a party. However, news from the actress’s Twitter account points to a return from the dead for Cassie.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers  – Cassie Newman’s death in May 2005

Looking back on the past, at the age of 14, Cassie got involved with an older crowd at Crimson Lights and ended up with a serious crush on Daniel Romalotti, who was involved with another of her friends, Lily Winters.

Cassie heard about a party at the park, and while she was grounded at the time, she managed to get out of it, so she could go to the party. However, when she got there, Daniel was drunk in the back of his car and Lily was nowhere to be seen. As everyone started leaving the party, Cassie told her friends she had a ride home. She climbed into Daniel’s car, intending to drive him home, despite the fact that she had no driving experience.

This led to Cassie having an accident and both she and Daniel were thrown from the car, leading to Cassie’s death.

Y&R Spoilers – Cassie’s ‘return from the dead’

Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah Copeland on The Young and the Restless has been hinting at something exciting in the footing. She sent out a message on Twitter on Thursday to say she is returning to the role of Cassie Newman. Cassie will be visiting her mother Sharon (played by Sharon Case), who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
