Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, February 20: Nikki Newman's Walk Down Memory Lane - Paul Williams, Neil Winters, And Katherine Chancellor VisitedThe Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, February 20, 2019, reveals Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) receiving some of her belongings. She admits to the guard that she doesn’t know when or if she is going home and needs to get her affairs in order.

Once alone, Nikki finds a photo album; with the photos in front of her, she begins to write to her grandchildren; there is so much she wants to share with them and with an uncertain future, it was time to explain how she got there. She wants them to know who she was – her mistakes, her sorrows, her accomplishments and her happiness. This is her life story!

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nikki Takes A Walk Down Memory Lane

Nikki talks about their great grandmother, Barbara Ann Reed, who raised Nikki and her sister, Casey. Their simple life was shattered when their mother was killed in a car accident and Nick Reed returned to Genoa City. Casey defends her father, saying he can’t change. Nikki calls him a disgusting drunk, who has no excuse for his behavior as Casey reveals Nick had sexually assaulted her when she was a teen, warning Nikki that one day he will hurt her too. When he came to GC, he tried to do the same to Nikki, but she killed him before he could.

After Nick was gone, so was her carefree childhood. Casey worked hard to take care of them, but Nikki was left alone to her own vices. Paul (Doug Davidson) came into her life. She threw caution to the wind when she married Greg Foster. She was naive to think everything would be perfect, but due to her age, she craved excitement and sabotaged their marriage. Nikki kept looking for adventure and a new purpose; if she knew what she was doing, she never would have joined the New World cult.

Nikki tells a young Paul about the cult, raving about it as Paul is says it is weird that she wants to live in a commune. She allowed herself to be manipulated again, saying Paul did join for a little while but quickly left. She found her new destiny at a club called “The Bayou”. She loved being in the spotlight, even though plenty of people disapproved, including Casey. She had no idea where the path would lead, but it was in that strip club that her life changed forever. Victor (Eric Braeden) thoroughly enjoys Nikki’s dance on the stage.

Nikki smiles as she looks at the photos of her and Victor through the years. She tells her grandkids that she has been married a few times and her full name is Nikki Reed Foster Bancroft Newman Abbott Landers Newman Chow Sharpe Abbott Newman. She reveals some of the marriages shouldn’t have happened, but there were far more better times than worse. Nikki brings up Jack (Peter Bergman), saying they were never meant to be romantically involved, but she cherishes their friendship. Jack is someone she could always count on, as their respect for each other is rare.

Victor is it for her, the undisputed master of the grand romantic gesture. She remembers when he bought her a diamond bracelet, something she was shocked to see; as they were REAL diamonds. Victor calls her a greedy little girl, but is willing to grant her whatever wish she wants. She demands him to kiss her. She loves the coat and bracelet, but she wants to see his real feelings; she wants him! She threatens him that if he doesn’t kiss her, she will not accept any gifts he got her. She orders him to put his arms around her as he kisses her. Victor called Nikki his “diamond in the rough” and swept her off her feet.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – NikTor Wedding Flashback

She recalls their first wedding, but reminds the kids that not all of life is a fairytale. Her and Victor have hurt each other badly, including her cheating on him and Victor’s dire warning to her; smashing glasses and saying what she has done is unforgivable. The connection between her and Victor is indescribable, as they share an unbreakable bond. She reminisces about the time Victor brought two horses home to the ranch, saying he didn’t ask her to marry him the right way. He says he is a very fortunate man, but without her, he is nothing. Nikki says the love they have for each other and their family has given her hope and light, even on her darkest days.

Nikki speaks to Katherine (Jeanne Cooper), who learns that Nikki was drinking. Nikki is grateful to be writing this letter as she is grateful to be alive; talking about alcoholism and her MS. She wonders if she inherited the addiction from her father, or is it the cause of various events. She admits she is an alcoholic, wishing the days she drowned her sorrows away, she could take back. Jack and Victor fight with her over her drinking, forcing her to open her eyes; fighting for her when she didn’t even have the strength to do it herself. This is one of the most important lessons she wants to pas on – when they are feeling lost, they are never alone!

Nikki struggles through the years, including speaking to Neil (Kristoff St. John), who says she is the matriarch of the Newman family and she needs this; but it is her choice. She says even someone they least expect will reach out a hand and all they have to do is take it. She believes every word she is telling them and without faith, she doesn’t know how she would endure some of the losses in her life.

Nikki recalls talking to Jack, who said Suzanne Cook came to the office with a newborn son, who was born with a severe heart defect. It turns out the heart Suzanne’s baby got was their premature son’s heart. She doesn’t know how they comprehend the death of a child and no one can make sense of it. Nikki shares about her and Victor losing Cassie (Camryn Grimes). Victor keeps wondering what made her walk out of the hospital that night.

She advises them on parenting and how it doesn’t get any easier. Nikki and Victor go to see Victoria (Amelia Heinle) who says she is completely at peace. She is sure Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria didn’t approve of her choices, but when she didn’t like something, Nikki never hesitated to tell them. Nick and Nikki argue about Sharon (Sharon Case), as she worries Sharon is only after Nick’s money. We see glimpses of their fighting through the years; including Nikki and her physically fighting in the barn.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nikki And Victor Reflect On The Past

Nikki reveals there were times she saw her children happy and chose to remain mum. She questions Victor on his attitude about Billy (now-Jason Thompson) being with Victoria. She talks about until her grandchildren hold their own child, they have no idea about the joy it brings. Nikki smiles as her and baby Victoria wait inside for Victor. She says they will always protect their children as their lives would be more important than their own.

Nikki remembers telling Nick about her attacking JT (Thad Luckinbill) in order to protect Victoria. She tells them that life’s greatest gifts is when your children have children of their own as your heart grows larger and you have more love to give; far more than you ever thought possible.

The day Katherine died, Nikki was in total shock. She fights with Victor, wanting to know he is as devastated as her over losing her best friend. Victor holds Nikki as she says they were not finished and needed to talk to her one last time. Nikki recalls the day Nikki met Katherine for the first time; the woman who said she was going to live until she died. A young Katherine questions Nikki about getting someone overly drunk, suggesting Nikki should do it; but doesn’t believe Victor would respond to that tactic. She tells Nikki to catch Victor napping; attack while he is sleeping. Katherine, talks to her like a mother, saying Nikki needs to be a bit more aggressive than she has ever been.

Nikki can still hear Katherine’s voice, saying there is a time for crying; but then wipe off those tears and appreciate all that you still have and never take the people you love for granted. Nikki thanks Katherine for being there for her, as she is her dearest friend.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nikki’s Emotional Letter To Her Family

Nikki ends the letter, saying this is her letting them know how much she appreciates them and each one of them makes her realize how blessed she truly is.

Nikki begs Victor’s gravestone, saying it would be worth dying to have him back. Victor says she doesn’t need to destroy herself as she can come back now. She breaks down in tears, saying she is dreaming and begins to cry uncontrollably; both crying as they hold each other. He says everything is over with now and it will be all right! He tells her it was necessary for everyone to believe he was dead.

Nikki feels closer to the kids after she wrote this. She tells them no matter where she is, or what she is doing; they are with her in her heart, in her thoughts and prayers.
