Young And The Restless Spoilers: Chance Chancellor Headed To Genoa City - Donny Boaz Joins Y&R CastYoung and the Restless spoilers and comings and goings tease that Donny Boaz has just joined the Y&R cast as the infamous Chance Chancellor.

Y&R writers have been dropping hints for months now that Chance Chancellor would be headed to Genoa City, and with all of the drama surrounding the Chancellor inheritance, it only makes since that he would resurface.

Phillip “Chance” Chancellor was previously played by daytime actor John Driscoll, and has not appeared on the soap opera since 2011.  Earlier rumors indicated that Driscoll may be returning to the soap, but it appears that TPTB have opted for a recast.

Donny Boaz is new on the daytime soap opera scene, but he does have a pretty lengthy acting resume.  You may recognize Boaz from his appearances on Dallas, NCIS: New Orleans, Lucifer, Exposed, and Graceland.  Boaz also has over a dozen movies currently in production that have yet to be released.

Donny took to social media and confirmed that he has joined the Y&R cast as Chance Chancellor, and he has already been filming for 6 weeks.  It’s pretty impressive the CBS soap managed to keep this major casting quiet for so long.  According to The Young and the Restless comings and goings, Boaz will make his big debut on Friday November 8.

Donny wrote, “Soooo… this happened. I signed a multi-year deal and have now been working on “The Young and the Restless” for 6 weeks. And now, I finally get to share it with my friends and family. I will be playing Chance Chancellor. It’s been a fun and amazing ride so far. Easily the hardest, fast paced job I’ve ever had and it’s as equally rewarding. I feel so very thankful and grateful for this new journey. I want to thank my manager, @jpriluck123 and my agents, @hritalent Thank you Team. Here we go.  My first episode will air on 11/08, definitely tune in the 11th-15th. The stories are getting good.”

      I was SO hoping it would be Billy Miller!!! He can’t play Billy Abbott again, but he could’ve played Chance…

      But it wouldn’t be the same if Billy Miller came back and wasn’t playing Billy Abbott, it would be really strange. I’m hopeful this new guy will play Chance really well and maybe we will like him, especially if had nothing to do with those pages from the will, and he is a good guy, and send’s Cane packing. That’s my hope anyway.
