The Young and the Restless spoilers – Chloe Mitchell has been given strict instructions, but can she follow them?

When Chloe and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) made plans to stay in and have a cozy dinner party together, they had no idea what was in store down the road.

By night’s end, the two couples cannot leave, and Chloe believes she’s gone into labor. While everyone thinks this can be handled with common sense and maybe a big pot of boiling water, nature thinks otherwise!

Y&R Spoilers – a perfect storm of drama and intrigue hit at the worst possible time

After a lovely dinner, everyone thought the night would give way to peaceful slumber, but no one told Cloe and Kevin’s baby about how the night should end. To her surprise, Chloe felt an unexpected twinge and grabbed her stomach. As if on cue, Michael and Lauren burst back into the mansion, exclaiming that the weather was so bad they couldn’t leave as it was just too dangerous.

Chloe’s shocking response was that she was having contractions—Yikes!

The Young and the Restless spoilers – What exactly are the Braxton-Hicks contractions that Chloe is having?

Kevin is distraught because it’s way too early for their baby to make its entrance into the world and calls the doctor who informs him that Chloe is having Braxton-Hicks contractions.

Everyone is relieved, and rightly so because these types of contractions are normal in the final stages of pregnancy, and are not the real thing.

Braxton-Hicks contractions are named after the doctor who first announced this unique set of symptoms. Sometimes these contractions are referred to as “false labor” because they give the sensation of a real contraction, but will not lead to delivery.

While this little scare seemed to turn out all right, are the Y&R writers hinting there may be some problems in the near future with Kevin and Chloe’s baby?  After all, is there ever a “normal” pregnancy and birth on soaps?

Which is a huge relief, because Y&R fans cannot wait to see the newest member of the Fisher family!
