Sure, his world was rocked when his dad came back from the dead—whose wouldn’t be? Especially when daddy dearest is Adam, not exactly the most wholesome dad in the world. No sooner did he appear to his son, than he took off again. He claimed it was in Connor’s best interest, but disappearing had an understandably devastating effect on the little boy.

He started acting out and eventually Adam was convinced that his return was for the best.

But was it, and for whom? Since returning Adam has busted up Chick and basically caved into Connor. So much power in such little hands is never a good thing!

Connor wanted his parents back together and after a bunch of whining and a lot of manipulating that’s exactly what he got. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) left a devastated Nick, who is probably better off without her and her baggage anyway even though he doesn’t see it just yet.

Next, Connor decided that seeing Sharon as a therapist just wasn’t working. On this one, I have to agree with the kid. Sharon is a hotline counselor, not a child psychologist. She’s well-meaning, but also a little too close to everyone to be unbiased.

At any rate, Sharon will be too preoccupied with her own life now to meddle in others’.

The Young and the Restless spoilers – Connor Newman in control!

Most recently Connor was pleased as punch when he served up a tasty breakfast to his approving parents but dismayed that mom had to go to work, the place the family was held hostage at one point. The Grand Phoenix is turning out to be notorious for all the wrong reasons!

Connor’s trauma is understandable, as is all of the drama he’s been through given who his parents are. Spoilers reveal that he will address his fears at the hotel, with a little help from those who care about him. In the end, he is happy and approves of Chelsea staying on at her job.

Is there an alarming trend going on here? Sure, Connor should be happy, but he’s learned how to manipulate his parents into getting his way, will this trend up backfiring big-time on the family?
