Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday January 16: Sharon Shocks Nick With Cancer News, Billy And Lily Catch Up, and Phyllis Propositions Chance

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday January 16th indicate that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) tells Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) she has cancer, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) catches up with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has a proposition for Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Sharon tells Nick about her cancer diagnosis

Nick is at the ranch with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). He tries to assure her not to think of the worst case scenario with Sharon. Faith is upset and believes that her mom has cancer. When she asks Nick to find out what’s going on, he agrees and then gives his daughter a hug.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is with Sharon at the breast cancer center. When the doctor comes in, Sharon asks if she can beat this. The doctor reminds Sharon there are no guarantees, but believes the odds are in her favor of beating this. The doctor explains Sharon has Stage II cancer, and the treatment will be chemo and surgery. Sharon listens as the doctor explains doing chemo first to reduce the size of the lesion, then surgery will come at a later time. When Sharon asks about a mastectomy, the doctor replies that there are no advantages with a proactive mastectomy. After the doctor finishes speaking, Sharon asks when her treatment starts.

Sharon and Rey arrive home after her appointment, and she asks if he can go get the book the doctor recommended she read. After Rey leaves, Sharon breaks down in tears. There’s then a knock at the door and Nick calls out. Sharon says she’s not feeling well, she has a cold. Nick says he knows that’s not true and asks her to open the door. Sharon opens the door and Nick comes in explaining about the note Faith found. Nick tells Sharon that a lot of people care about her and they want to know what’s going on.

Sharon confesses she has cancer, then explains discovering the lump and the doctor’s recommendations. After Sharon explains everything, she breaks down. Nick assures her everything will be fine, and Sharon is worried about telling Faith the news. Nick tells her that Faith already suspects she has cancer, but says their girl is strong just like Sharon is. Sharon says she’ll tell the kids, but nobody else can know. When Rey returns, Sharon informs him that Nick knows, and Rey replies “good.”

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Summer tells Mariah her concerns

Tessa Porter (Cait Faribanks) is on the private jet with the phone beside her as she plays her new song. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is listening on the other end, and says the song is different from Tessa’s others. Tessa says it’s something she and Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) have been working on, and Mariah thinks it’ll be a hit. Tessa talks about being on the road and how everyone treats Tanner like royalty. She then explains that later she and Tanner have been invited to a party on a private yacht.

Mariah is in Society and hangs up from her call with Tessa. When she spots Summer Newman (Hunter King), she calls out to her and asks where’s her matching poodles, referring to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Summer replies she’s not in the mood and Mariah inquires what’s wrong. Summer explains that if Kyle continues to let Theo get to him, his whole life will blow up. Mariah says they’re grown and they can handle things on their own. Mariah then wonders if she wants the men to fight over her instead of Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Summer says she’s upset, she’s trying to be a friend to both of them, but worries one day things will explode between the two men. Seeing how upset Summer is, Mariah agrees to talk to Kyle.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Billy and Lily catch up

On the Crimson Lights patio, Lily runs into Billy. The two sit down and chat. Billy apologizes for the role he played in the demise of her marriage. She says she’s not angry, then talks about how life in prison changed her. Lily then notices Billy seems uneasy and when she asks what’s wrong, he asks her to pass along her wisdom to him. Lily says she finally feels like she’s able to be the person she was meant to be. Billy replies about how nobody is trying to fix her. When she again asks if he’s okay, he shrugs it off and asks about her. Lily reflects on her taking responsibility in Hilary Curtis’ (Mishel Morgan) death and says it was difficult, but she’s moving on. Lily then leaves to meet Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), and after she leaves, Billy makes a call asking someone to meet him.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Phyllis propositions Chance

At the Grand Phoenix, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) watches as Phyllis goes up to Chance and explains she has a proposition for him. Phyllis thinks it’d be a good idea for Chance to hire her for his new business, she can help with the marketing. When Phyllis sees Amanda Sinclair (Mishel Morgan), she gets up to greet her and closely passes by Chance.

When Phyllis is gone, Abby comes over and warns Chance he’s messing with a snake. Chance assures Abby he can handle Phyllis, and she comments there’s a graveyard of men who thought the same way. Abby says since she and him aren’t serious, he can visit Phyllis’ crazy playground. Chance says he’s not interested, then asks Abby on a date, but she turns him down because she’s busy.

Phyllis is chatting with Amanda and says she thought of taking back the hotel, but came up with another plan. When Amanda inquires about Phyllis’ new plan, she says it involves the security business. They chat for a bit, then Amanda has to leave. Phyllis then returns to Chance and they talk some more. Then when she goes to leave she has her behind in his face as she walks off.
