The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Comes To A Difficult Realization

Devon comes to a difficult realization that he has indeed, been fixated on Amanda because of her resemblance to his late wife, Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan). He has been denying it, but it certainly does account for his strong reactions and accusations that she had to be in on the scam about the challenge to Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will, just because of her doppelganger like resemblance to Hilary!

Devon has had to get real with himself with why he has been so back and forth, telling himself he’s going to move on past her resemblance to Hilary and then getting all fired up about her again when he finds new information – it has quickly become a borderline obsession! He finally comes to the conclusion that he is going to have to come clean with his serious girlfriend Elena Dawson about his fixation.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Comes Clean To Elena Dawson

Devon meets with Elena, and probably will take a deep breath, unsure how he’s going to phrase what he has today, and just as unsure as to how Elena will respond to it. He finally admits that he has realized that Amanda’s resemblance to Hilary has affected him more deeply than he thought and that it in fact has driven a good amount of his behavior since she came to town.

Elena is very understanding about this; she says he’s only human and anyone would be deeply affected by encountering someone that could be the ghost or the twin of a deceased spouse. It’s a subconscious reaction, she knows it isn’t anything that Devon could prevent or control, but now that he has realized what is driving him about Amanda, he can work on the issue, and she’s there to help him if he needs or wants her help.

It will be difficult, but he has to mentally disassociate Amanda from Hilary, and he may have to do it any time her name comes up or any time he sees her, which he will since she has decided to relocate to Genoa City permanently!

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Runs Into Amanda Sinclair At Society

Devon then runs into Amanda at Society a short time after having the talk with and coming clean to Elena. He realizes that Amanda is going to be there in Genoa City and they likely will run into each other frequently since they tend to frequent the same places around town. He will probably apologize for being so accusatory and perhaps even explain that he’s realized why.

He will be firm in making something very clear to her, which might be that it may be a while before he can mentally dissociate her from Hilary, and he may act a little weird so as infrequent of contact as possible would probably be the best! However, now that Hilary has gotten rid of her bangs and looks even MORE like Hilary than she did, things might be a little difficult for a while, and then there’s still the fact that she does look like Hilary’s twin and he will still wonder why and maybe try to find out if they are related!
