However, she received some heartbreaking news shortly after arriving at the labor and delivery ward. Young and the Restless: Pregnant During Coronavirus

Y&R spoilers reveal that fans were concerned about Hendrickson as she was due to give birth any day now. Not only is she pregnant during the COVID-19 pandemic, but she is heavily pregnant and close to her due date.

On Instagram, the soap actress posted a picture of her beautiful nursery and said it would be the last time that it would be empty. She also explained that things were progressing fast.

Y&R Spoilers: Inducing Labor

In her social media post, Hendrickson said that due to how fast things were progressing, the decision was made to induce labor. She was worried that the hospital would do the same thing as San Francisco and not allow the dads in the delivery room. So, she and her husband Rob Meder rushed to get to the hospital.

Plans Interrupted: Dad Not Allowed

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that 20 minutes before walking into the hospital, the midwives were told that the father was not allowed in the room postpartum. This was heartbreaking news for the couple. However, they looked at the positive and just focused on welcoming a new life into the world.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thankful For Midwives and Nurses

In her Instagram post, Hendrickson expressed gratitude to her midwives. She wrote,

“We are heartbroken but we also feel like I’m in incredible hands. My midwife Didi is a dream and my nurse Andra is so awesome! I know I will be well supported by everyone in the maternity ward. My heart goes out to all of the mamas that are faced with being separated from their partners during delivery right now.”

The last time I’ll see this room empty. We just checked into the hospital. We’ve decided to induce labor with everything moving so rapidly. We felt it was safest to get her here safely before Rob wasn’t allowed in the delivery room like they’re doing in San Fran and NY. 20 mins before we walked into the hospital the midwives were notified that after delivery only the mother is allowed with the baby postpartum. Rob has to leave. We are heartbroken but we also feel like I’m in incredible hands. My midwife Didi is a dream and my nurse Andra is so awesome! I know i will be well supported by everyone in the maternity ward. My heart goes out to all of the mamas that are faced with being separated from their partners during delivery right now. I really can’t imagine doing this alone. I brought my ukulele to keep myself busy, music is playing, my lavender diffuser is brewing and I’m just keeping my eye on the prize.
