Young and the Restless Spoilers for Thursday, January 17: Nikki’s In Serious Danger, Victoria Kisses Cane

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 17, 2019 begins with Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) preparing for school as Cane (Daniel Goddard) apologizes for leaving them alone for the night; but appreciates them pitching in as he went to see Lily (Christel Khalil). Cane reveals he isn’t going to tell Lily about the accident until she gets home, nor did he give her Mattie’s college essay. Mattie knows there is something Cane isn’t telling them and demands to know what it is.

Billy (Jason Thompson) comes to visit Victoria (Amelia Heinle), admitting he has been thinking about them and everything they have been through; especially how they lost him almost 2 years ago. He admits that Delia’s ghost told him he needed to stay where he was in order to be there for Johnny, Katie and Victoria. She remembers that she asked him to move home after the accident, but wonders if that is what he came to talk to her about.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Corners Nikki

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) arrives at Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott), worried about Nick (Joshua Morrow); but Nikki says Nick is concerned about her and Victor (Eric Braeden); but Phyllis doesn’t buy it, believing Nikki said something to him and by the way Nick is talking, it’s like he knows Victor didn’t kill JT (Thad Luckinbill); when confronted Nikki admits she told Nicholas that she killed JT!

Billy promises he is listening and is sensitive to Victoria’s needs. She is sorry she jumped to things but he says Delia’s words mean something to him and knows he has a lot to fix with her. He isn’t going to lie about thinking about them as a family again, but knows they need time and will do everything he can to not screw it up again. She agrees to a nice, casual lunch with him,

Fen (Zach Tinker) is sitting in Crimson, when he realizes Sharon (Sharon Case) is playing his song; she reveals it is on her updated playlist. He laughs, feeling it is unreal. Sharon reveals how Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) crash and burned from Devon’s (Bryton James) label company and now can’t find any work. He believes it is a reality check and isn’t going to quit his day job any time soon.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Neil Visits Devon And Ana

Meanwhile, Neil (Kristoff St. John) goes to see Ana (Loren Lott) and Devon, revealing Lily is hanging in there. Devon plays Fen’s demo as Neil says he is digging it but Devon admits he has no idea who wrote the song. Neil reminds him that if the writer doesn’t come forward, this could be a problem and asks Ana why she can’t convince him to sign a contract with LP; lying that “he” wants to keep a low profile. She says she believes this is personal and won’t push him. Neil doesn’t like this as Devon agrees but if the songs keep flowing as good as this one, they can take the risk.

Devon says everything in his life is going really well, thanks to Ana and Nate (Brooks Darnell); he is seeing a therapist as his work and personal life are good and suggest Neil focus on Lily and he shouldn’t abandon her to check on him. Devon takes a serious phone call. Cane insists he isn’t lying, but some things need to stay private between him and Lily. Charlie feels happy that Cane and Lily at least are figuring out their long distance relationship.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Cover-Up Crew Shocked By Nikki

Phyllis, Sharon, Nikki and Victoria meet at the coffeehouse, where Phyllis is concerned about Nikki revealing everything about JT to Nick. Nikki reminds her, they stopped being on the same team when Phyllis was promoting that Victor was the murderer. Phyllis isn’t shocked that Victoria knew about this, but they are typical Newmans who circle the wagon and to hell with the rest. Nikki retells everything she told Nick, but Sharon wants to know why as Nikki reveals the murder weapon showed up to her house when Nick brought her home and didn’t have a choice but to tell him. Phyllis wants to know what they will do now.

Fen arrives at Devon’s penthouse where Devon tells him the numbers have come back and are beyond what they expected. Fen is very excited as Ana feels this calls for a celebration and grab the champagne from the fridge. Neil reminds Devon that they need to keep everything on the up and up with this songwriter; especially after what happened with Tessa.

Victoria admits the poker is identical to hers and it could easily be a copy. Phyllis points out that it’s obviously someone who knows JT was murdered and how. Sharon is certain Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is not involved. Victoria says whoever did this is trying to rattle them and turn on each other. Phyllis worries about Nick and with him fighting so hard for Victor, the GCPD are going to start to wonder what he knows. Phyllis and Victoria begin to bicker about relationships, questioning how solid her and Nick are.

Nikki believes Nick will be able to help them with this latest development; but Victoria has to leave. Phyllis leans in and tells Sharon that this whole plan doesn’t work for her! Phyllis blames Nikki for not giving them a choice in this situation but Sharon doesn’t think Victoria and Nikki are hanging them out to dry; both mock Phyllis about being paranoid and destroying her and Nick all by herself. Phyllis makes it very clear that she will not go down for this and Sharon says she needs to trust Nikki – for now!

Ana tells Devon that artists don’t have iron clad contracts anymore and Devon agrees, saying he wants this writer to do Fen’s entire album. Ana says it will be a problem as the artist needs money before “he” writes anymore and asks Devon for an advance on projected earnings. Devon wants a piece of the action, suggesting they do a buy out. Ana agrees but Fen says it is stupid, looking at Ana; but she says her friend just wants to be paid.

Neil runs into Cane at the GCAC, talking about the kids. They both talk about how much Sam growing so fast is killing her. Cane admits he went to see Lily at the prison with some unrealistic expectations. Neil reminds him that he is entitled to his own feelings too and is there to help him and Lily while they are separated. Cane spots Victoria arrive for lunch with Billy and Neil notes the distraction.

Sharon tells Nikki she is just keeping her options open as she told Nick without talking to any of them first and she reserves the right to protect herself; upset that Nikki involved him at all. Sharon says keeping this secret is really starting to wear on her and it must be unnerving that someone is able to get access to the property. She tells Sharon how Nick is exactly like Victor, declining her offer to stay with her as she does have her gun and its best for her to be in her own home.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Neil Comforts Cane

Cane opens up about the letter Lily wrote him, like he doesn’t see her enough; but when he drops everything to see her, he isn’t sure she appreciates it. Neil tells him he needs to understand how important this job is for her; but Cane feels her prison life is more important than him and the kids. Neil suggests he help her remember her life as she is the one who lost everything. Neil needs him to be prepared to support whatever kind of person Lily will be when she is released. He vows that he will be.

Billy compliments Victoria on her parenting skills, but she admits she couldn’t have helped Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) put his life back together without Billy. They toast to new beginnings when Phyllis interrupts them, revealing her and Billy discussed what she did at JT’s memorial, assuring Victoria that her and Nick are solid, although she should question her and Billy’s relationship, explaining how Billy wanted to get back together with her just before he ended up with Victoria. Victoria is shocked as Phyllis leaves them alone, saying she chose Nick.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Storms Off On Billy

Billy admits that he asked Phyllis to get back together, she storms off, saying she isn’t interested. Cane stops her, who says he isn’t giving her any sympathy but he only wants to know if he left his scarf at her house, which she confirms. She says she is heading home now and he agrees to follow her home to get it. Billy confronts Phyllis, saying she is jealous.

Ana sits with Fen, who wants to know why she needs the money right now. Ana says she has personal reasons and he needs to trust her. He feels she needs to eventually tell Devon that she wrote the song. Devon (Bryton James) calls Michael (Christian LeBlanc) to find out the name of someone who set up an LLC; the guy who wrote Fen’s song.

At home, Victoria searches for the scarf as she explains Billy has managed to sabotage his chance of happiness; saying he has been there for her and the kids as she realized they were a great family and had a chance to try again only to find out that Billy only turned to her after Phyllis turned him down. Cane has no “anti-Billy” comeback. She asks him about his lunch with Neil. He tells Neil how difficult it was to deal with Lily in prison and he knows Lily is his daughter but sometimes Cane feels like he is out there by himself. She completely understands what he means and stops him before he leaves.

Phyllis says she told Victoria because she should know where Billy’s head is; believing it was a favor as Victoria shouldn’t have false expectations. Billy is angry that he couldn’t see the real her this whole time and it is very clear to him now that all he did was hurt Jack (Peter Bergman) for absolutely no reason. He says trying to get back with her was a bad impulse and it will never happen as Victoria was, has been and always will be the love of his life!

Victoria sits with Cane as they talk about being parents and no one caring how they get it done, ignoring their emotional needs pretty much every day and makes her want to say, “to hell with it!” The two begin to kiss again on the couch.

Nikki is reading when she hears a loud bang in the house. She calls out, demanding to know if someone is there. She walks towards the hallway, anxious and decides to get her gun. When she demands to know who is there, she sees a shadow and raises the gun, terrified.
