Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Tries To Help Billy – Plan Backfires, Billy Spirals Out Of Control

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may soon find himself going haywire. As Y&R viewers know, he’s been dealing with a lot lately. He had a terrible break with reality last year, during which he developed an alternate persona who terrorized and nearly killed Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Then, he seemed to have a reprieve but later developed an inner voice that started questioning everything about his relationships with his family.

Billy’s psychological health seemed to take another nosedive after he abruptly quit therapy, turned his negativity outward, and started blaming others for his problems. He started to see Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as the enemies and as people who want to keep him from being his “authentic” self.

And in the midst of all of this self-discovery, he met Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and struck up a friendship with her. That ultimately led Victoria to hit the roof, as she didn’t appreciate him having an emotionally intimate relationship with another woman. Well, Billy ultimately walked out on Victoria and now he’s alone and without his partner or his kids. He’s even lost his standing at the Empty Glass Lounge, since he recently started a bar fight there.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Jack will soon step forward to help out his brother in his time of need. Jack can see that Billy is lost right now, and he’ll have some sort of plan that he thinks will help Billy to straighten out. It could be a return to Jabot in some capacity, or perhaps something more family oriented. At any rate, Jack will reach out and try to be a good big brother.

However, Billy’s not going to appreciate the gesture at all, and in fact it will end up ju st feeding into what Billy already believes – that Jack and others want him to conform and be who they want him to be. It seems that Jack’s actions may ultimately serve to make Billy act out more. We’ll see what happens here, but Billy’s liable to do more drinking alone and playing cards as a result.

And things could even get worse than that. Billy is pretty volatile right now, and even the one good thing in his life right now – his friendship with Amanda – potentially has some risks. Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) didn’t look particularly happy to find Billy coming to Amanda’s hotel room the other day, which makes sense since he’s a controlling stalker. And Billy wasn’t happy with Ripley showing up and scaring Amanda, either.

Billy’s world could really spiral out of control if he winds up in an altercation with Ripley. We’d say it looks pretty likely that the two will meet again, since the chances of Ripley walking away and leaving Amanda alone are slim at this point. Will Billy and Ripley end up bitter enemies? If so, that could prove to be an explosive situation, since Billy needs a place to land all his pent-up anger over what’s going on in his life.

We’ll see what happens here, but the situation seems ripe for Billy to spiral in pretty short order, especially if Ripley sets him off. Do you think Billy’s in for a total meltdown?
