Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate there have been plenty of twists and turns in Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) storyline as of late. From re-joining Chancellor-Winters to demerging the company, and not firing Lily Winters (Christel Khalil); fans have been on the edge of their seats wondering, “What’s next?”
Actor Jason Thompson recently had an interview with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) teasing a plot twist on the horizon. What could it be?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jason Thompson Talks Billy’s Rivalry With The Moustache
Jason spoke with SOD about his scenes on the soap this week. From giving Lily, the pink slip to his confrontation with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) not to mention everything he’s dealing with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Billy-boy certainly has his hands full.
Thompson offered some insight into the Billy character where Lily was concerned, noting the lack of trust he had in her, which led to her eventual firing.
He notes that Billy does believe in Lily, but due to her recent actions, it’s become clear that she’s been dishonest with him. He did what he did, for self-preservation.
When it comes to his confrontation with the Moustache, Thompson notes that Billy knows Victor wants to remove him from Chancellor, and while he takes Newman as a serious threat, he’s not intimidated by him.

Thompson concludes the SOD interview by teasing a plot twist that’s coming up within the Abbott-Chancellor leadership team.
Lily got the ax, so will Billy fly solo as the head honcho at Abbott-Chancellor? Jason states, “There’s someone else who steps up and wants to do it with him.”
This is an interesting sentiment, to say the least, so who will join Billy? Fans can’t help but speculate that it could be Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
After all, he’s made it clear he wants a bigger role in the company, and even though he’s a newbie, he’s shown great success in his abilities and has learned the ropes of the corporate rat race pretty quickly.
Even more so, Chance doesn’t have the best relationship when it comes to Victor. It wouldn’t be a hard sell for Chance to step up and help Billy fight off the Moustache’s attempt to take over Abbott’s chancellor.
It would also add an interesting dynamic as Chance happens to be the significant other of Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Victor’s granddaughter, who owes her grandfather a favor and is also the apple of his eye.

Nothing would be more refreshing than seeing Victor defeated. So many boring years of Victor always being on top and treating people like crap. Come on writers, let Billy have a win for once. Change it up
I was thinking the same thing.
Why can’t Billy Abbott be given the chance to come out on top over Victor Newman and that includes his brother Jack? Jack has had the top of Jabot for so long.
Let Billy show those top dogs in Genoa City that he can be someone other than a lover. Let him show his support for his mother that he had learned from all that he can lead a company to high standards and make it the leading company in Genoa city.
I’m guessing once again you will blow up Adam’s life, if the story lines going to change to bad things happening to people let it happen to Diane or summer
Imagine if it was Victoria. That would be amazing since she’s not in charge of Newman anymore. It would be some story line if he fired Lily because Victoria is silent partner telling him all Victor’s secrets
Chance will be a good replacement to run Chancellor all together but kick Billy out and leave all that alone then Victor will stay off his case
Yes have Chance join Billy, and succeed in beating Victor from taking control of Abbott Chantler. Victor is rich enough and doesn’t need to own everything in town, Also have Summer sell Marccetys to Newman and leave Jabo, and marry Chance. Victor and Nicki needs to retire and let Victoria, Nick and Adam run Newman.
Why not bring back Brock and Tucker to support Billy? That would really blow the minds of everyone who think Victor needs to take over Chancellor!
