Jill has been in Billy’s corner and continues to be to this day. So, it is no surprise when Jill calls him with the intention of having a talk about everything that is going on. When Billy comes over, she offers him a way to keep himself busy and that is a position at Chancellor over the media division.

She is hoping that Billy will hop onto this offer in an effort to turn things around. Billy, however, does jump to the conclusion of her wanting him to be like John Abbot (Jerry Douglas) which he says that he can not be that way. Billy does seem to be blaming himself for Victoria being in the hospital, but it does not seem like he is ready to make any changes in his life.

Billy has some changes that he needs to make in the future, but he is so helped back by wanting to be a part of the drama and being driven by the adrenaline rush that thrills bring him. He does take responsibility for his action or at least says that he understands that he was at fault but does not try to do anything to make up for his actions. For example, he says that he should not have went to the party but when anyone tries to talk to him by giving him any kind of advice, he shuts them down so that he does not feel bad or worse about himself. However, this could be stopping him from changing his ways and might keep him stuck in the same pattern of behaviors that he has been in.
