Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday January 6: Sharon Keeps Deadly Diagnosis Secret, Nikki Learns About Nick And Chelsea’s Split, and Mariah Questions Tessa

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday January 6th indicate that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will keep her diagnosis a secret, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) learns of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) split, and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) wants answers from Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).

At their apartment, Mariah is reeling from Tessa’s revelation. She wants to know why Tessa didn’t tell her about the marriage. Tessa mentions her ex-husband’s text about coming on tour made her think differently about the meaning behind the words. Mariah is upset because she thought there was no more lies and they were going to be honest with each other. Tessa admits she was freaked out when she heard from Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) and assumed their were problems with the divorce.

Tessa wanted to fix things on her own without Mariah’s help. Mariah wants details about Tessa and Tanner’s relationship. Tessa explains she met Tanner at a bar and he offered her a job to join his band. She says they bonded over their tough lives, then one night in Reno they got drunk and got married. Tessa says their marriage wasn’t built on love. When Mariah asks why they didn’t get it annulled if it was a mistake, Tessa says they were young and having fun chasing their dreams.

Tessa says when the fun stopped they knew their marriage was over. An angry Mariah yells at Tessa for lying and says she can’t trust her. Tessa apologizes and says Tanner doesn’t mean anything to her, but Mariah is her world. Mariah then leaves, saying she needs to clear her head.  Later Tessa is at home waiting for Mariah when there’s a knock at the door. She answers it to find Tanner, who asks if it’s a bad time.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Sharon’s secret

At Crimson Lights, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) notices Sharon seems nervous and inquires what’s wrong. She makes a comments about handling stuff on her own, then says she has an appointment with the coffee man. Rey leaves just as Sharon is sent a text reminder about her doctor’s appointment. Later Rey comes back and is surprises Sharon’s not there.

She soon arrives and claims she had to go to the coffee man’s office. When Rey inquires about the meeting, Sharon responds by saying she needs time to go over what they discussed. Sharon starts to work, then decided to take the day off to have lunch with Rey. Sharon goes in the back to grab lunch and sighs. She and Rey have lunch, but he’s soon called away for work. After he leaves, she calls up the doctor to set up another appointment for a mammogram and ultrasound. When an upset Mariah comes in, she asks her mother if they can talk, and Sharon says absolutely. Mariah tells Sharons she’s got a problem and fears it’s going to change everything.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Nikki learns about Nick and Chelsea’s split

Nick is at Newman Enterprises watching Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) finish a conference call, then schedule a trip to Singapore. Victoria mentions she’s looking for a new COO and offers Nick the position, but he refuses. He then tells Victoria that he and Chelsea are over, and she’s back with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Victoria asks about telling their parents the news when Nikki appears. Nick tells Nikki that he and Chelsea broke up. Nikki asks for a moment alone and Victoria leaves. When they’re alone, Nikki comments that Nick is like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’s pretending everything’s okay when deep down he’s hurting inside. Nick says he’s trying to move on, but says things would be easier if Adam wasn’t involved in the situation.

When Nikki mentions Adam using Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) situation to manipulate Chelsea, Nick believes Adam’s concern for Connor was real, but he used the situation to his advantage. Nick says it was inevitable that Chelsea and Adam were going to get back together. Nikki tells Nick that he’ll be fine, but warns him to stay away from Sharon. Nick laughs and Sharon knew Nikki would say that.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Adam and Chelsea’s fears

At their penthouse, Adam comments about Chelsea and Connor living there permantently, which sparks Chelsea revealing her fear in telling Connor. Adam assures her everything will be fine. When Connor comes down, they sit him down for a talk. Chelsea explains that they won’t be going back to Nick’s place because she and Nick broke up. Connor asks if this means that they’re a family again, and Chelsea responds that she and Adam are working on making things stronger so nothing tears them apart. Connor cries for joy over the news.

Later Adam calls a child therapist, while Chelsea voices her desire to make things right for Connor. Adam says he’s got to work hard to prove himself to Chelsea and Connor, and she responds that he’s off to a good start. Adam says this is their last shot and is worried about it screwing up, and Chelsea reminds him that she still needs time.
