Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday January 3: Sharon’s Cancer Scare, Tessa Confesses To Mariah, and Kevin and Chloe Share Big News

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday January 3rd indicate that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) discovers a lump, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) makes a confession to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) share their exciting news.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Chelsea’s date

At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) place, Summer Newman (Hunter King) inquires about his New Year’s plans with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Nick informs Summer that he and Chelsea broke up, and Chelsea’s moving in with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Summer is concerned about her father, but he assures her that he’ll be fine and will move on with his life. Summer calls Chelsea a rebound and says that Nick deserves happiness with his special someone, but Nick says he doesn’t want to think about dating.

At Adam’s penthouse, Chelsea comes downstairs and Adam says he took Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to the ranch. They talk about last night. Adam says he misinterpreted Chelsea and Nick’s embrace at the party. Chelsea says even though she picked Adam, she’s not ready to be with him yet. She says she doesn’t want to rush things so soon after her break up with Nick. Adam suggests he and Chelsea start slow by going on a date. Chelsea agrees, then goes out to run errands while Adam sets everything up. Chelsea then returns with brunch and they sit down for their meal. Adam talks about how they love each other despite their imperfections. He then makes a toast saying “To me and you, and what we can be.”

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Tessa’s confession

Mariah arrives at Crimson Lights and is surprised to find Tessa sitting on the patio. The two chat and Mariah realizes Tessa’s nervous about her meeting with Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman). Mariah offers to accompany Tessa to the meeting, but Tessa assures her she’ll be fine. After Tessa leaves, Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) joins Mariah and inquires about Tessa’s mystery.

Later at Society, Mariah meets with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). She tells him about Tessa’s meeting with Tanner, and Devon says he’s been trying to score him as a client. Mariah feels that this could be a big break for Tessa, and eventually Devon.

Tessa meets Tanner at the Grand Phoenix. They share a hug, then make small talk. Tessa brings up Tanner’s successful music career and he says he couldn’t have done it without her. When he was broke and living in his car, she believed in him. Tanner then reveals he’s looking for an opening act and wants her to go on tour with him. Tessa is unsure, but he insists it’s because of her talent and not what they had in the past.

Later Tessa tells Mariah about the meeting. Mariah is excited that Tessa will be going on tour with Tanner, then she’s stunned when Tessa says she’s thinking of turning him down. When Mariah asks why, Tessa reveals that Tanner is her ex-husband.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Sharon discovers a lump

At Crimson Lights, Sharon seems distracted as Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) talks about him and Faith going ice skating. Faith comes in and hugs her mother because she’s going back to boarding school. Sharon and Mariah say their goodbyes to Faith, and Mariah promises to keep Faith updated about Tessa. Faith says she’s happy for Mariah, and the two hug.

Later Nick and Summer arrive to say goodbye to Faith. Summer steps out to have a girl talk with Faith, while Rey leaves for work. Nick tells Sharon that he and Chelsea broke up. When she asks if Chelsea is back with Adam, Nick says it’s none of his business. When Nick makes a comment about his best days being behind him, Sharon appears to be in deep thought. After the family says goodbye to Faith, Sharon sneaks away to make an appointment with a doctor, she found a lump in her breast.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Kevin and Chloe share their news

Kevin and Chloe are at Society awaiting their families’ arrival. Kevin admits he’s worried about sharing their news. Chloe assures him it’s fine and it’s not too soon. She then talks about how excited Bella Fisher (Martie Blair) is about being a big sister and wants to tell everyone the news. Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) arrive first. Michael’s still hungover and not in the mood for a celebration. Fen Baldwin (Zach Tinker), Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), and Bella arrive.

A hungover Michael tries to leave, but Chloe and Kevin insist he stay. When Kevin goes to speak up, Esther reveals that she’s joined a dating app. Kevin once again tries to speak, but is interrupted by Lauren who talks about her company going global. Bella then blurts out the news that she’s going to be a big sister and everyone offers their congratulations. Kevin then makes a toast to celebrate the occasion.
