The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the most recent face of Adam Newman (recast, Mark Grossman) isn’t phony. He also actually is Christian Newman’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) biological father, which is something that two-faced Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) knows he will now be forced to confront.
What happened to Nick’s heartfelt farewell at the prison’s visitor’s room in late summer 2016 and the good intentions he held when driving Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) to the cabin pick up Adam, with the hope of helping Chadam escape? Back then Nick appeared totally supportive of his half-brother.
Maybe Nick is once again revealing that he’s only okay with Adam when he’s either presumed dead, or is not in Genoa City?
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Won’t Give Up Christian
Nick has a grown son in Noah Newman (Robert Adamson), a grown daughter in Summer Newman (Hunter King), and a nearly teenage daughter in Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). He’s been a good father to them and a good stand-in dad to Christian. Yes, that’s Nick’s appropriate title when Adam’s son is referenced.
Of course it would be fair to recognize Nick’s bond with Christian, who’s been involved in numerous paternity and maternity storylines during his preschool life. However, a selfless person would be thrilled to learn that a member of his family wasn’t killed in September 2016.
Nick’s initial response to Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) phone call from Las Vegas, Nevada, was very telling. He was stunned and then instantly irked to learn that Adam was alive. Sibling rivalry revived, anyone?
Y&R has reversed SORAS’d Adam, which makes sense as he was born approximately ten years after Nick in soap time. Doing so provides a fresh take on the fourth adult Adam recast.
Young And The Restless – The Many Faces Of Adam Newman
Chris Engen played the first older edition of Adam, as he was SORAS’d from a child to a young adult in 2008. Michael Muhney assumed the role in 2009 and remained with the cast through December 2013. Justin Hartley joined the show in mid 2014 and left in mid 2016, as he accepted a role on what became a nighttime hit serial, This Is Us.

The most recent recast process played out within the last handful of months. Grossman is 32 years old, which fit what Y&R was looking for, as the last two actors to play Adam are in their forties and Engen is now 39.
Hartley wasn’t looking to return. Muhney had hoped to return. Engen’s intentions aren’t known. There is no fully confirmed information available regarding whether Y&R reached out to any of the three previous actors before the decision was made to subtract from Adam’s age.
Nick appears likely to oppose his younger brother in coming weeks and months. Adam will surely regain his memory, eventually, and then almost probably win whatever Christian’s latest paternity battle will be.

Nick….
Nick – he is the only father Christian knows. It’s a child, not an object, to be handed over beck and forth.
he should think about when Sharon & Dylan had Christian but they called him ‘Sully’
and he went back and forth, the same goes for the real dad Adam and Nick is the
little guys uncle!
Nick should keep his son. Adam don’t need any kids without Chelsea. He was ok as Connor dad because of Chelsea. Leave well mess alone. Keep the family line intack .Sharon and nick need to get back together
sorry but Christian is not Nick’s I don’t agree with you for Adam and he has a son with
Chelsea its Connor and another son from Sage and you know its Christian
nope Sharon is really happy with Rey and as for Nick no love there not for a long time.
I think Christian should be with his real dad Adam and soon Connor will be coming with
Chelsea and these two boys have a bond like no other and they know they are brothers
Nick will lose in court and I’m behind Adam!
NICK!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is only father that Christian know he has a good life with NICK
What happened when Victor’s family found out Adam was dead. They blame Victor, even disowned him. Now that he is alive they disown Adam. ???
Adam is their brother. He should be treated as such. Adam would be a good person if him family would let him. We all heard him tell Victor, Nick loves Christian. Adam cares about children and their feelings.
Nick should keep him
