Savvy Y&R fans noticed the oddity of Adam being included in the group text Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) sent to family members. Victor authorized her to do so due to the gravity of this condition, or so that’s what was said.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has made many biting comments to her frenemy, Adam. The most telling among them could be the one she offered after learning of Victor’s supposed death.

She thought it was ironic that Adam was the only person who thought Victor was indestructible. The comment was offered along with Phyllis’ knowledge that Adam had manipulated his father’s medication. Then, after doing so, Adam’s actions seemed to cause Victor’s death.

However, included in Phyllis’ rant were her feelings that they should be celebrating Victor’s demise, as he had ruined her life. This was a reference to Marco Anaselli (Peter Bergman in a dual role).

There is always a reason to wonder if any long-tenured daytime actor is taking a break, or has gone off-contract. Retirement is also an option for some. But in Braeden’s case, he’s not indicated that any of the above scenario’s were true. A traditional retrospective series of scenes would have been shown during recent weeks if he had, in fact, been leaving for good.

Soap opera fans also know that anyone with Braeden’s solid Y&R resume and career length on the show, which dates back to 1980, would not be purposely written out by having Victor collapse on the floor at the Ranch and die. No, he would go out in glorious, memorable style.
