Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tyler Johnson Teases Big Theo Drama To Come

Young & The Restless - Theo Vanderwall (Tyler Johnson)

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Theo Vanderwall (Tyler Johnson) is doing one heck of a job turning up the heat! As a matter of fact, he’s responsible for not only stirring up a little trouble, but also causing one dramatic moment after another. Luckily, all of the drama is in front of the cameras and not off. Here’s what he has to say.

Young & The Restless Spoilers – It’s Theo Vanderwall Against Kyle Abbott

Speaking to CBS Soaps in Depth, the actor says that everyone has been nothing but warm, friendly and very helpful ever since he began his role on The Young and the Restless. And while it might appear as though his character Tyler Vanderwall and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are on screen enemies, off screen that’s not the case at all.

Y&R Spoilers – Nothing But Love For Michael Mealor

Tyler told the publication, “I love working with Michael Mealor. We have a rivalry on set that is similar to Theo and Kyle’s without any of the insidiousness. Every scene is like a sparring match that we enjoy to the max!”

And while a lot of people believe that Tyler just came to Genoa City to stir up some trouble, Theo is just doing what he thinks is right for Kyle Abbott. He believes that Genoa City’s golden boy is putting on an act and that he’s really a party boy at heart.

But then again, there are a lot of The Young and the Restless fans who believe that Theo is acting like nothing more than a jealous girlfriend! Because he can’t have the old Kyle, he believes that no one should have him, including his own wife, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).

However, The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Kyle might end up making his own missteps without the help of Theo or Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Barlow). That’s because he keeps on getting caught kissing a woman that clearly isn’t his wife: Summer Newman (Hunter King). There are only so many times that Lola will forgive her husband before she ultimately pulls the plug on their relationship. Only then will Theo be able to tell everyone “Told you so,” and that he was right.

He’s ok. I don’t really see him as a leading man on the show because his character hasn’t been created classy enough. He reminds me more of the creepy pimp guys the writers bring in for a story to run, they then die, leave town or go to prison.

There are a few things I am thoroughly sick of, with Theo being the first. He is unattractive and his personality leaves me totally disgusted. Another one is Phyllis. She’s also unattractive, and it’s totally understandable why her behavior has alienated everyone on the show, including the viewers. And then there are Jack and Sharon. Really? Not even sensible, certainly not a likely couple for a romance. You need to bring in a new, likable, attractive woman (maybe someone connected with Tracy’s writing career, or someone who works where Jack’s mother lives?) in whom Jack could gradually develop a friendship, and then maybe a more romantic interest.

Last, there’s Nick’s surly, hostile, always-angry behavior, which has turned him into yet another person to dislike. I know that Adam’s done a lot of bad things, and just generally made himself into an enemy of his entire family, as well as most of the residents of GC. But that’s getting old. You need to create a situation which would give him an opportunity to begin to redeem himself, and show that he has some decency and care for other people in him after all, and give other family members (including Nick!) a chance (an obligation?) to open the door just a bit to the possibility of a relationship.
