Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victoria Grows Concerned About Billy’s Dark Side

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victoria Grows Concerned About Billy's Dark SideThe Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will grow concerned about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) dark side on The Young and The Restless!

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Could “Bad Billy” Re-emerge?

With Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) bringing back Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) from Las Vegas to help Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) with his emotional problems and acting out, it won’t be surprising that Victoria will worry that “Bad Billy” could re-emerge, since Adam’s return to Genoa City was the trigger the last time. Billy has shown some surliness and bad behavior at work, tearing down on his nephew Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as well, although that might just be regular Billy’s bad behavior!

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Has Billy Abbott Been In Therapy Long Enough For “Bad Billy” To Be Reintegrated Into “Good Billy?”

Any psychiatrist who has worked with DID, or, Dissociative Identity Disorder patients, will testify that when a patient manifests an alternate personality, the old term “split personality” actually is correct. The alternate personalities are parts of the person’s psyche that has split. The psychotherapy protocol for a person with DID is not to rid the sufferer of the offensive alter, or separate personality, but to reintegrate all parts of the person mentally into one whole person .

So even though “Good Billy” thinks he got rid of “Bad Billy”, that personality still exists somewhere within himself, it’s just that his good part won out over his bad part. But he may not have been in therapy long enough to be completely reintegrated, and so, yes, “Bad Billy” could again be triggered!

Bad Behavior Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Bad Billy Abbott Has Re-emerged

As the “alter” is a part of Billy’s psyche, Billy’s bad behavior doesn’t necessarily mean the alter has re-emerged. It may just be Billy’s own anger and his temper. Where the difference would come in would be if, as it happened before, Billy started doing things and saying things that he doesn’t remember doing or saying; and perhaps remembering, but it being like waking from a dream.

Y & R viewers will recall when Billy was going to the Chancellor house at night and letting himself in and seeing Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) notes to “get Adam” and similar things which he had actually been writing himself. Just because he saw “Bad Billy” as a separate apparition when he was “Good Billy” and pushed that part of himself back down, which he and viewers saw as his “Bad Billy” image shattering, doesn’t mean that he is reintegrated just yet.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Can Billy Keep Himself In Check

Billy may lose his temper at someone, but as long as he knows he is losing his temper and remembers what happens when he loses his temper, then “Bad Billy” has not re-emerged although he could be triggered in the right circumstances. When Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recently confronted Billy about trying to kill Adam, Billy recalled and was cognizant of what happened and was able to explain himself to Victor, so at this point Billy seems to be okay! Victoria, however will still continue to worry and be aware that “Bad Billy” could come out of nowhere!
