Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Kyle And Lola Make It Down The Aisle?

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) intend to get married on the Young and the Restless. Hopefully they won’t have to elope, as Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) was told.

The idea that Lola’s long-gone dad wants to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day is seen as outrageous. In a traditional family that wouldn’t be the case.

As Y&R fans have learned, Adrian Rosales  didn’t walk out on his wife and children. Lola and her brothers were told otherwise years ago when they were all living in Miami, Florida.

That came after Lola and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) learned that their mother was seeing their father again and has been giving him money. Oh, and she never divorced him. So they’re still married.

Longtime entertainment fans recall that some of the advertising that would be seen in between Y&R’s classic scenes involved cola wars. Two of the world’s top soda makers at one time engaged in a battle of commercials, where viewers were asked to pick which sweet liquid treat was best.

The cheeky implication that heads this section implies something different, as evident through the capitalized letter k. ‘Kola’ is the social media driven nickname that promotes the building relationship between Kyle and Lola by taking the first letter of Mr. Abbott’s first name and fusing it with the last three letters of Miss Rosales’ initial moniker.

While ‘Elevon’ is becoming a duo that fans are rooting for, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) have only been together for a short period of time this year, whereas ‘Kola’s’ origins are rooted in the summer of 2018. Fans agree that the pleasing sounds of ‘Kola’ and ‘Elevon’ underscore couples who are being embraced.

As is true in the soda world, the flavor has to be just right to be accepted. In both instances, provided scripts combine with the work of the actors to satisfy the audience.

Celeste’s arrival in Genoa City, Wisconsin, is not what Lola was expecting. While initial greetings were warm, Lola and her mother soon butted heads about involvement in the wedding and are doing so again regarding Adrian’s pending reappearance.

It appears as though the patriarch of the Rosales family may be playing off his wife’s emotions in order to reconnect with his GC-based children, most especially Lola. However, Celeste’s take on her husband’s reform can’t be discounted, as she’s been closest to him in modern times. Yet, yesterday’s memories are powering Lola and Rey’s defense of themselves and their mother.

All of the above makes it seem likely that Adrian will be written into the show just prior to the date of ‘Kola’s’ wedding, if not on it exactly. The mere threat of that happening caused Lola to tell her mother that she would call the whole thing off and elope with Kyle. But maybe peace can be made and drama-filled nuptials don’t erupt.
