Soap couple nicknames, like ‘Kola’, generally didn’t exist back in the proverbial day. Those (hash)tags are a product of the digital age, where fan interaction serves to promote what’s now known as daytime drama.

So the popularity of Kyle and Lola’s relationship isn’t pure opinion, as it can be gauged through social media. Mr. Abbott understands the power of that platform, as his past exposure at the Genoa City Athletic Club’s rooftop pool proved.

Y&R Spoilers – Lola Abbott Underestimates Summer Newman

Mariah doesn’t want Lola to take her eye off of the ball, which in this case is Summer’s repressed romantic interest in Kyle. That’s why Theo’s change in relationship status could soon spark the revival of ‘Skyle’.

Lola told Mariah that Summer isn’t a witch. Yes, Calle’s character used that Halloweeny word.

Both ladies are right. Summer doesn’t appear to be a terrible person because of the kidney donation arc, as Lola has come to learn. But Mariah is onto something that Lola was concerned about in the recent past.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sweet Taste Of Good Old Days Lingers

Y&R has cleverly written Mealor’s character into temporary co-Chief Executive Officer status at Jabot. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was persuaded by his son’s business power pitch, which resembled the one Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) made to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) earlier this fall.

So, Kyle will be sharing top honors with his father at the company John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) founded during the days when soda was enjoyed in a glass bottle while a bounty of soap operas were seen on the major broadcast network channels. Ah, the sweet taste of those good old days lingers.

While Kyle is working hard and Lola is busy with her burgeoning career, Summer and Theo will likely be fixed on the people they love, which isn’t each other. Mariah was right to issue her reminder warning to Lola and she’ll be right to keep an eye on her husband and and eye out for Theo.
