Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Michael Baldwin Risks It All To Take Down Adam Newman

Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) is trying to stop Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The man who’ll be vying to return to the District Attorney’s seat pushed Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, current notorious villain off Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). But Michael’s attempt to go for Adam’s jugular is far more risky.

The plans of both men are hidden, as Adam knows Michael isn’t as malleable as his brother. Viewers will see that the manner in which Le Blanc’s extremely clever character proceeds will produce layers of intrigue.

Y&R Spoilers  – Controlling The Court

Adam has repeatedly threatened Michael, telling him that he would make sure the authorities learn where Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is living if the lawyer doesn’t do his bidding. However, Michael neutralized part of Adam’s game when he engineered the elimination of scandalous photos that were to be used against the custody hearing judge.

Michael needed to drop out of Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) legal battle earlier this summer. He did that partially due to Adam’s prodding and also to avoid being forced to throw the Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) custody case.

Adam later countered by suggesting that Michael become GC’s DA. The idea wasn’t rejected, as Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) step-down resulted due to the pressure Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) applied and her own desire to pursue other areas of life. That creates an opportunity for Michael to exploit.

Young & The Restless Spoilers – Cards Always Withheld

Adam’s morph into ‘Spider’ happened because that’s a major part of who he is. The crooked gambler always holds more than one card up his sleeve. Assuming that underhanded tactics remain in place, Michael must believe that his plan of attack against Adam will be countered.

Whether Michael is able to bring Adam down, through whatever means he’s working, isn’t certain. Neither are the payback consequences, or human collateral damage that would follow.

In this high stakes real life game, Michael knows that he’ll need to outwit one of his greatest opponents. Adam plays to win, no matter what the cost to anyone, including himself. That’s hard to defend against, excepting for two personal points that exist.

Y&R Spoilers  – Christian and Connor’s Welfare Considered

Michael knows that Adam is serious about wanting to be with both of his sons. Grossman’s alter ego is currently seeking full custody of Christian and appears to be headed to another legal standoff with Chelsea Boudreau (Melissa Claire Egan) regarding their son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

The best gambit would be to tie Adam’s custody odds to all other options in play. Michael is a father who knows that Adam will grudgingly agree to an outcome which ensures access to Christian and Connor in return for turning away from his other vindictive pursuits. A compromise endgame won’t yield results that any connected character is fully satisfied with, but could serve to stop current fights.

      I think Michael’s take down of Adam will backfire, you see Adam is always two steps
      ahead of him when it comes to go against him, he can tell the police where Chloe is
      hiding and that did try and murder him twice and he is not the only one that is after
      Adam, Billy is going to crack soon and he’ll shoot, probably shoot someone else close
      to him. I also seen the ending of y & r when Sharon made it to Adam’s here I thought she
      would go see Nick and she didn’t but I think she’ll say no for now cause its too fast for her.

Adam tries to bend everyone to his will and it does not work , I’m glad Chelsea told him off today – she’s got his number and Sharon ‘s not ”buying ” what he’s selling either ( for now any way lol ) He is ALWAYS plotting and scheming ( just like Phyllis – ” birds of a feather ” ) to get his way .
