Despite a job offer from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to work at Jabot, Kyle will walk away from the family company to “explore” other options.

Audra is playing this very cool. She continues to communicate to Kyle that there are no “strings attached” to their one-night stand, while Mr. Abbott is looking like a love-struck teenager. Especially by sending those flowers and diamonds right after the two did the deed. Ms. Charles is an opportunist. She’s not only working overtime to move up the ladder at Newman, but she may also see Kyle and his Abbott family money as a way to get that much closer to her own life goals.

Still, if Kyle has left Jabot, with no other job lined up, and is appearing desperate to impress Audra with over-the-top gifts, will she lose interest? Sometimes the challenge of landing an Abbott in bed is far better than the “reward” of dating one. He may come off as looking pathetic if he overplays his interest, which may end up turning Audra off. Especially if he has no link to Jabot. While she’s at Newman Enterprises, a girl still needs to keep her options open and perhaps the only reason she was interested in Kyle in the first place was because of his position at Marchetti and his links to the family business.
