Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) arrive for breakfast with the Newman family. Chelsea confesses that she always feels anxious when Victor calls them.
Adam reassures her that it’s just breakfast. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) joins them, and the meal begins pleasantly, with everyone discussing Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and Victor’s good rapport with children.
However, the mood shifts when Victor inquires about Adam’s visit to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and the baby, causing tension.
Victor warns Adam about his rivalry with Billy, stating that Adam shouldn’t be visiting his family. Adam is frustrated that Victor is monitoring him, calling it a dangerous game that could provoke Billy.

Adam Argues Being Friendly With A Baby Isn’t Wrong
Adam argues that being friendly with a baby isn’t wrong. Nikki expresses concern due to Ava, and Adam suspects Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) informed them about the situation.
He insists he was merely checking on the baby out of kindness. Victor asks Chelsea for her opinion, and she praises Adam for his support during the wedding, expressing pride in his actions.
Victor’s reaction is ambiguous, leaving Adam angry about his father’s lack of trust. Victor believes Adam’s friendliness with the competition is problematic.
Nikki defends her husband, and Adam tells Victor that if he wants to know his intentions, he should just ask, though Adam might not share. He then takes Chelsea and leaves.
As previously explored, Adam’s growing attachment to Ruby has raised questions about whether he wants another child.
Nikki Tells Victor The Situation Got More Complicated Than Necessary
After they leave, Nikki tells Victor that the situation became more complicated than necessary and asks if he’s concerned Adam might return to Sally.
She believes he shouldn’t be worried. However, Victor fears it could escalate.
Sally and the baby are important to Adam, and with Billy being the baby’s father, the situation is more intense.
Plus, Adam never informed Chelsea. Back at home, Adam expresses frustration that his father sees a baby as a threat.
Chelsea Asks Why Adam Didn’t Tell Her He Went For The Visit Alone
Chelsea questions why he didn’t tell her he visited them alone. Adam struggles to find an answer, and she insists he needs to sort it out since they need to talk about these matters.
He admits he was afraid she’d misunderstand, but Chelsea argues that his silence caused the misunderstanding.
She demands every detail, prompting Adam to recount how he burped the baby and how Ruby fell asleep on him.
As he shares the story, he starts to reflect on their life together and suggests they might consider having another child.
Cane And Lily Catch Up
Cane surprises Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at the GCAC, and they discuss Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow).
Cane shares that Jill is slowly getting stronger, and Snapper Foster (David Hasselhoff) is hopeful, although they almost had to say goodbye.
He confesses his jealousy over others’ memories of her and his reluctance to let her go.
They also talk about Billy’s response, and Cane mentions that the kids texted him during his visit, which meant a lot to both him and Jill.
Lily notes that Billy has changed since Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono), and she hopes he understands what truly matters now.
Cane’s Surprise
Then Lily confesses to Cane that she has missed him, and he immediately responds, “Then why don’t we move in together?”
To him, she is everything—the sun, moon, and stars. Skipping the small talk, Cane goes straight for the lease.
However, Lily feels it’s too soon. Cane, having experienced recent scares, is eager not to waste any more time.
He shares how he expressed all his feelings to Jill, admiring how she treated his father and how she has inspired him to be better.
Lily thinks that’s wonderful but believes they should wait, as she doesn’t want to live in fear of it potentially ending.
She needs more time and reassures him that he will know when the moment is right.
Billy’s Coming Home Update
Billy updates Sally on the sights and the hospital. He confesses he wandered into the chapel, and everything feels hazy.
Jill’s condition gradually improved, allowing them to breathe easier. However, Sally senses he doesn’t sound relieved.
He is, but he worries about what comes next. Billy fears the important conversation he needs to have with Jill may never occur, especially after their fight and her near-death experience.
If something happens to her, he feels it could be his fault.
He wants to reconcile with her before it’s too late, but he’s uncertain if that will happen.
He is committed to being open and honest with his kids, hoping that will be enough for Ruby to have a great life without becoming a carny.
As he returns Ruby’s bootie, he worries about Adam’s boundary and attachment issues. Sally reassures him this won’t be a problem.
“If you say so,” he replies.
With Adam’s attachment to Ruby already causing concern, Billy may have good reason to question whether his old rival can respect boundaries.
Meanwhile, Victor’s interrogation and Cane’s unexpected request have created new complications for both couples.
Annemarie’s Take
Victor certainly knows how to turn a family breakfast into an interrogation! I can understand why Chelsea is upset that Adam kept his visits with Sally and Ruby a secret. And now he wants another baby? Something tells me that’s going to cause even more trouble. As for Cane, I think Lily is right to take her time before moving in together. They’ve been through enough already!
