Will a power struggle between him and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) cause a breakup between the two as well on Y & R?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – The Podcasts Have Become A Problem

The podcasts that Billy has been doing have started to become a problem – he’s doing two of them now, one under his own name and another under “The Grinning Soul”. His ex-wife, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) already confronted him about the Grinning Soul podcast, she recognized him even though he’d changed his voice. It was more the subject matter she objected to than the podcast itself, it was a thinly disguised narrative about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and his sins, which hurt her.

Billy Abbott had started this anonymous podcast so he could express himself freely, feeling that he had to censor himself too much on his original podcast. But he wasn’t able to disguise his vocal patterns and Victoria knows him well enough to tell it was him.

Y & R Spoilers – Lily Winters Has Warned Billy Abbott, Now She Lays Down The Law

Lily has already warned Billy about the subject matter on his podcasts, but during the week of May 23 she’ll really lay down the law! Lily doesn’t really want to pull the rug out from under Billy as she knows he values his work, but if he is irresponsible she may have to. Billy’s middle name has never been “responsible” it seems to be closer to “careless” and he always has been, Billy seems to care more about Billy than what people think!

In a public media company, being a rebel does not serve one well – and Billy Boy is nothing if not a rebel! The Young and the Restless spoilers show Lily will set more boundaries and try to convince him following the rules are for his own good but he’ll probably just do what he wants anyway!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lily Winters May Have No Choice

If Billy does what his rebellious self usually does, he is poised to really make a mess that could harm the public image of the merged Hamilton-Winters and ChancComm. That would cause Lily a conundrum since she is over him in the corporate hierarchy and she would be forced to fire him and put an end to his podcasts! Since they are living together and have been involved for a while that would be bound to stress their relationship, and possibly break them up!

Billy already feels like an outsider because everyone in the merged company is either related or involved with each other, even though he still is connected by Lily. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily’s cousin, and they’re involved with the rest, although no one is married to each other!

Y & R Spoilers – Maybe Billy Abbott Is Starting To Feel Smothered

Maybe what Billy’s real problem is he’s starting to feel smothered and controlled – like he hasn’t ruined a relationship or marriage because of that before! His situation with Lily kind of feels like his situation with Victoria now – being involved with or married to a woman much more powerful than him! Billy wants to be the power player but he’s never been able to be one – and doing his own thing makes him feel powerful! Being under Lily’s thumb and her control may not be working so well, and it may be him who ultimately splits!
