Billy learns about Diane’s new job online. He complains to Jack that he should have discussed this with him, being the co-CEO. Jack scoffs at the idea that he answers anyone, including the board. He thinks Diane will be a good fit for the job and sees no reason for it to upset anyone.

Ashley has a very different reaction to the news. Everyone expected her to lose her cool. Instead, she embraced the idea and suggested it won’t be long until Diane crashes and burns.

The best part about Ashley’s plan is that Jack would never suspect she would leave the company to create her brand. He expects her to make a bid for the CEO chair at Jabot.
