Hallmark Channel When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates reveal WCTH Season 12 was fortunate to feature Melissa Gilbert, the Queen of The Prairie.
The famous star from Little House On The Prairie played Georgie McGill, and the one-sided love story between Georgie and Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) brought a unique touch to the season.
Will We See Melissa Gilbert As Georgie McGill In Season Thirteen?
Melissa featured prominently in two major episodes of Season 12; will she make a comeback for Season 13- Gilbert has recently shared the answer, here’s what she mentioned.
In her last appearance on When Calls The Heart Season 12, Melissa Gilbert’s character Georgie McGill shared a passionate moment with Jack Wagner’s Bill Avery, raising questions about their future.
Is there a chance for romance; if that’s the case, the Little House On The Prairie star must return to see if this busy couple can make their relationship work.
To start, she would need to come back to Hope Valley. Long-distance relationships are difficult online nowadays, just think what they would have been with only the US mail and maybe or maybe not phone calls!
The New Season Starts Production On July 1
Production for When Calls The Heart Season 13 kicks off on July 1-will Melissa be making a return for the upcoming season? In a chat with “Hey Dude…The 90s Called”, Gilbert confirmed that she is indeed coming back!
She mentioned that she will be traveling to Vancouver, the filming location for the Hallmark series, “a bit more this year” and she feels right at home there.
She said, “When I arrive in Vancouver for the set, I walk in and it’s this old town, you know? It feels surreal, there I am. It’s just like returning home, it’s this odd yet wonderful sensation, and I’m really looking forward to going back”.
Melissa Talked About Georgie’s Costuming
Furthermore, she discussed her reasons for selecting the rigid style of clothing that Georgie dons, which is approximately the same historic timeframe as when Laura Ingalls was a young adult.
Most viewers would know that was her character in “Little House On The Prairie” as a child to a young adult. “I opted to dress my character in a corset for countless reasons, none of which were particularly wise, but it certainly looks appealing. Plus, the lace-up shoes and the entire aesthetic I have going on there. And with my hair styled up, you know, it carries a hint of the late 1800s into the early 1900s.”
Might Georgie McGill Become A Recurring Character?
Without giving away too much about her upcoming role in WCTH Season 13, Melissa Gilbert mentioned, “I’ll be back and forth to Vancouver a bit more, I think, this year.”
This suggests she might have a recurring role; her phrase “a bit more” implies that her appearances will exceed the two episodes she featured in during Season 12. Certainly, new showrunner Joy Gregory will provide more details about Georgie’s involvement in Season 13.
Additionally, Gregory has already teased that Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and Bill will face challenges related to Hope Valley. As a result, there may be a need for a forensic investigator, and Georgie McGill could be the key to helping them tackle the bad elements in Hope Valley.
