Blue Bloods Spoilers – Why Did Season 14 Get Delayed?
Donnie Wahlberg has become known for using his social media to promote shows like his beloved Blue Bloods.
However, the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike forced Wahlberg to press pause on such promotional posts. And that silence left Blue Bloods fans hunting for some hints about when the police drama will return.
And the network did renew Blue Bloods in spring 2023. However, at the same time as fans looked forward to season 14, the writers’ strike and actors’ strike in Hollywood began. And the strikes involved 118 days of picketing and negotiating, per Yahoo.
But in the wake of Hollywood’s most lengthy strike ever against movie and TV studios, SAG-AFTRA finally reached a deal. And the strike officially ended on Thursday, November 9, 2023. As a result, studios could get back to work.
Blue Bloods Spoilers – Donnie Wahlberg Teases Season 14
And when Donnie Wahlberg learned about the end of the strike, the Blue Bloods star turned to social media. But he couldn’t resist a tease via a video of Donnie on the set of the police drama.
And Wahlberg wrote, “Thank you for your patience. It’s about that time again. Can’t wait to be back with the most amazing cast & crew on TV! #BlueBloods Season 14, here we come. #thankful #Brooklyn Let’s Go!”
As for what that means, fans will need to wait for 2024 to see the premiere of Blue Bloods season 14. And the cast will include Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray. But season 14 will mark the end, with the last season divided into two parts.
Blue Bloods Spoilers – How Will Season 14 End?
Because of the cancellation, season 14 will mark the end of Blue Bloods. And part one will debut on February 16, with the second part to premiere in fall 2024. But as TV Insider pointed out, the final scene seems inevitable.
And Blue Bloods likely will conclude with one of those famous family dinners. As a result of the police drama’s tradition, it seems likely that it will take place at Frank (Tom Selleck) and Henry’s (Len Cariou) home. And watch for all the Reagan family to gather around that table.
After a blessing, the Reagans likely will discuss their lives. For instance, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Erin (Bridget Moynahan) will probably argue. And the kids will return, including Nicky (Sami Gayle), Jack (Tony Terraciano), and Sean (Andrew Terraciano).
But the final scene could alternatively show Frank gazing at his city before turning out the lights. Tell us what you think. How do you think Blue Bloods should end? And after you share your views, check back on our site for more TV news.
