CBS has cancelled the popular drama Blue Bloods. And the network revealed via TV Insider that season 14 will mark the end of the series.

Season 14 of Blue Bloods will begin with its premiere on Friday, February 16. That premiere will air in the show’s traditional 10/9 time slot. And it will mark the end for what ranked as the top prime-time show on Fridays, taking third place among all broadcast dramas.

CBS plans to feature Blue Bloods season 14 in its fall 2024 line-up. And Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck reflected on the show’s history since debuting in 2010. “For the past 13 years it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family,” said Selleck.

For Selleck, Blue Bloods has become like a family. And he shared his gratitude. “Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true,” said the Blue Bloods star.

I’m really surprised they’re canceling Blue Bloods. This was such a successful show and was actually one of the good ones. It not only taught family values, which is much needed today, it also showed what the New York police department goes through on a daily basis. Not only New York, but most states in our country. It’s not just stopping for donuts and coffee and giving out tickets. Their Sunday dinners around the table with all the family, really shows what family is about. No excuses, no telephones, and everybody putting their heart out on the table. Family is your best support system, and this truly portrays what’s missing in this country. It’s a shame that you would cancel the show. I can see so many directions this could go in to continue running for several years to come. I know they always say, “Always leave them wanting more, and leave on a good note.” It’s just a shame this particular series is ending because there really isn’t a lot of good stuff to watch on TV today. This is reality at its finest. I will truly miss this show and all the actors. They made it look so real and natural. I felt as though they were part of our family. I really wish you would reconsider.

I agree completely with this response. If there is any theme we need to see, it is the importance of a strong family!

  • Debbie Pruitt

I think it’s wrong to cancel a series that fans have come to love and has done so well for so long. No one wants to watch the reality scripted shows that bleep out every other word.
I have so enjoyed Blue Bloods and the actors. I love the family getting together on Sundays for dinner like it was when I grew up. I will miss this series so much. Shame on CBS, that is the only time I watch CBS is on Friday nights at 10 pm. The only series worth watching. I will not be watching anymore CBS after BLUE BLOODS leave.

I sooo agree with you, the best show on TV. I was VERY saddened to hear about the cancellation. And I wish they would rethink about this terrible decision. TO MUCH JUNK on TV.

Blue Bloods is an exceptional series. I will miss the exciting episodes as well as the Sunday dinner table. I can’t image any other program meeting the talent and story line of Blue Bloods. I would like to see the return of Blue Bloods in the future.

  • Cheryl

Shame on CBS. Hopefully another network will pick up thus exceptional program.

    • Michael

I agree with all of the above comments. I started watching Blue Bloods late in the series run but when I did starting watching I fell in love with the series & it’s stories & actors. I do hope another station picks up the series which has happened in the past with other shows. I watch the reruns on the ION TV station also. Hope it does get picked up & I’m sure alot of fans hope that too.

I love BlueBloods, and I know that a series cannot go on forever. My problem is what will replace it ? Another stupid reality show. Please fill this spot with good family drama.

  • Sandy Filomena

I look forward to 10pm every Friday night because I know it’s time for Blue Bloods. I’ve watched it from the beginning and will watch to the end. I love family shows and the police presence in the show. I do not watch reality shows, I just live it.. The cast is superb. Thank you for all those Friday nights.

  • Anita

The one outstanding show on tv!!!! Why would you cancel such a fan favorite and keep some shows who demonstrate no morals, no role models for kids to look up to, no script that is worth watching, and these absurd reality shows!
I will definitely not watch CBS and will find a channel that supports quality programing and not slutty shows!!

  • BARBARA BRANSKI

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH CBS FOR CANCELING BLUE BLOODS. WE NEED THEM. THEY HAVE THE GREATEST ACTOR.. I WILL NOT WATCH CBS AGAIN IF THE TAKE IT 9FF.S

  • Lynda C

I don’t quite understand why they would want to take off such an incredible show without any plausible explanation. It not only depicts REAL cop activities, responses and emotions but they do it with high family and moral values!!! It’s such a good show! Please reconsider!

  • Dottie B.

I am so very sorry this great story is being cancelled! It has truly been a fave since the first episode. The actors played their parts with so much love and honor. Many of us are going to truly miss you all. I feel so sad to see this show leave the air. Great good luck and love to Tom and everyone. You all felt like family. Love and sunshine to all….❤️
