Blue Bloods Spoilers – How Jimmy Buffett Plays Two Roles

Jimmy Buffett will guest star on Blue Bloods in the January 14 episode, reports TV Insider. And fans of the crooner will get double the pleasure because Jimmy guest stars as himself as well as a con artist named Dickie Delaney. Titled “On The Arm,” the episode also features Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) as his partner chasing down con artist Dickie. Delaney tries to fool them by pretending to be Jimmy Buffett. Danny pays Buffett’s tab at a bar, adding to the confusion between con artist and singer.

Jimmy previously starred in seven episodes of “Hawaii Five-O,” portraying Frank Bama, according to IMDB. As a result, we know that Buffett has acquired the skills needed to play a character believably. But Jimmy also enjoys referring to his songs. For instance, on an episode of “Hawaii Five-O,” he famously treated fans to an exchange with Danny ‘Danno’ Williams. After Frank offers Danny a drink, Danno replies, “No, thank you. I’m uh, more of a margarita guy myself.” Bama responds with a straight face: “Can’t argue with you there.” We’re hoping for some more memorable lines in Jimmy’s guest starring turn on Blue Bloods!

Blue Bloods Spoilers – ‘On The Arm’ Features Tom Selleck 

In addition to Buffett, Wahlberg, and Ramirez, the “On The Arm” episode of Blue Bloods features Tom Selleck, who portrays Commissioner Frank Reagan. Frank faces challenges in figuring out why a captain would take products from local stores.

This second episode of 2022 also stars Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan.  A blog written by an anonymous person makes Erin worry about her reputation. And Erin and Frank aren’t the only members of the Reagan family to feature in this episode.

Fan favorite Will Estes also plays a key role in the episode as Sergeant Jamie Reagan. Jamie decides to shake up the precinct with an old rule about saluting. But it’s not just the precinct that gets taken by surprise. The Sergeant’s decision also causes issues in his romance with his wife Officer Eddie Janko, played by Vanessa Ray.

Blue Bloods Spoilers – When Does Blue Bloods Return?

Currently on hiatus, Blue Bloods returns on January 7 with an episode entitled “Old Friends.” The 2022 premiere of Blue Bloods stars Lyle Lovett, who returns to his role as Texas Ranger Major Waylon Gates. Gates and Danny team up to seek out an illegal drug shipment in New York City.

In addition, “Old Friends” features Jamie assisting a neighbor with a gambling debt. And look for Frank once again dealing with Mayor Chase (Dylan Walsh). This time, the Commissioner and the Mayor argue over the management of a fight between police officers and demonstrators at a protest. Blue Bloods airs on Fridays at 10/9c on CBS.
