Since the current season of Grey’s anatomy kicked off, fans have been anticipating the return of Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh). Just a fortnight following the death of Andrew DeLuca, the Grey’s Anatomy series is getting set for the return of our beloved Dr. Lexie Grey of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Her tragic death was the most devastating in the previous season following the series history. She’s been gone for nine years off the show but finally coming back. To be honest, fans never assumed they would see her again in this current season 17, but surprisingly they will. Dr. Lexie Grey will be featuring in next week’s (April 1, 2021) episode of the Grey’s Anatomy beach motif series.

Greys Anatomy  – A Background Story Of Dr. Lexie Grey Of The Grey’s Anatomy Series

Chyler Leigh (Lexie Grey) is a younger paternal half-sister to Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey). Her main storyline came to light before the beginning of season 4. At this time, Lexie was transferred to Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital as a new intern to the surgical team of the hospital following her mother’s abrupt death. In season 5, Lexie Grey was named a surgical resident and her character revolved around an off-on relationship with Mark Sloan (Eric Dane). Sadly, both of them died in a plane crash in season 8’s finale. Subsequently, the Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital – where the love birds worked together was renamed Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in their memory.
