Netflix’s Daredevil spin-off series, Daredevil: Born Again, is filming its first season in New York, and several pictures from the set can be found on social media shared by fans. Over the months, fans have spotted several pictures from the show that suggest a possible storyline, including the series’ OG cast, Vincent D’Onofrio, dressed up as a potential mayoral candidate. However, the latest pictures from the set have revealed a known connection from the past, the fictional 15th Precinct. So, what role would the 15th Precinct play in the spin-off series’ storyline? Keep reading to find out the details!
While the Netflix spin-off has delivered some great news ever since it started filming, there have also been several missing components as compared to the original. As per reports, the OG characters Karen Page and Foggy Nelson aren’t a part of the upcoming series. This is a big downer, given the fact that Elden Hensen and Deborah Ann Woll were perfect in their roles. Moreover, the ups and downs of their relationship with Matt Murdock were a big part of why the series became successful.
However, it is possible that the show makers would add new MCU connections to the series as opposed to re-casting the old ones. For example, the foundation logo for Pym Van Dyne surfaced online during the New Year celebrated for Daredevil: Born Again. So, it is obvious that fans can expect more of such connections to surface in the future.
The latest pictures from the set have brought back memories from the original Daredevil series. Filming at the original fictional 15th Precinct based in New York has just started. This fictional station was referenced in Daredevil several times and also during the Jessica Jones events. However, the series doesn’t just exist in the original series but is also a part of the MCU world.
The precinct welcomed the MCU hero Captain America. Moreover, it also had several wanted posters with Cosmo’s face, adding to the precinct’s importance in the Marvel world. The way that the spin-off series has kept so many aspects of the OG series intact is what makes the fans look forward to its premiere.
Moreover, after it was revealed that Jon Bernthal and Vincent D’Onofrio would be returning for the show, fans couldn’t hold their excitement. Now, it is just a waiting game to see how many additional connections will surface in the upcoming series.
Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere sometime in early 2024 on Disney+.
