The “Grey’s Anatomy” leading lady, Ellen Pompeo, will launch her new podcast entitled “Tell Me” and wishes to bring people together by allowing others to tell their stories.
As documented by PEOPLE, Ellen stated she listens to podcasts and realizes a lot of things, even if others’ ideas oppose hers.
The actress expressed she feels people are so “divided” right now and believes that her podcast is a way to bring people together.
The podcast is produced by Cadence13 and Ellen Pompeo’s goal is for people to find it fun and enlightening to listen to and that they would be united in respecting everyone’s differences.
When asked about the story behind the podcast title, the “Grey’s Anatomy” doctor revealed it’s called “Tell Me” because it’s about “listening” which she strongly believes that people can benefit from doing. She emphasized the value of listening just like how she keeps reminding her kids to “listen more than you speak.”
Grey’s Anatomy’ News – Ellen Pompeo Takes the Challenge Of Podcasting When COVID-19 Hits Worldwide
Having a podcast of her own has been introduced to Ellen Pompeo many times before, but the star declined the offer. When COVID-19 hit globally, she decided to take the opportunity to keep herself busy and do something interesting rather than being stuck at home.
The “Tell Me” podcast will launch this coming September 29, 2021, on every online platform and have new episodes every Wednesday. For the first three episodes, Ellen will sit with Yara Shahidi, Michelle Harper, and her former on-screen husband, Grey’s alum Patrick Dempsey.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ News – Star Patrick Dempsey Leaves The Show After The Terrorizing Issue
Just recently, the exit of the “Grey’s Anatomy” star, Patrick Dempsey, became the talk of town when the Hollywood Reporter published an excerpt of the Entertainment Weekly editor Lynette Rice’s “How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey’s Anatomy” book which revealed “HR issues” with Dempsey that reportedly lead to his character’s end in the medical drama.
He was accused of terrifying people on set, including his fight with his on-screen partner, Ellen Pompeo, and the creator of the show, Shonda Rhimes.
Last 2015, Patrick Dempsey ended his role as Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd in a car accident. “I don’t think there was any way to exit him without him dying,” said former producer Stacy McKee.

Ellen Pompeo also shared her thoughts on Dempsey’s exit and her struggle to reach pay parity with Dempsey. Pompeo stated that they never discussed their deals and Dempsey was never interested in negotiating when she once tried to approach her on-screen partner, for that matter.
But it seems like the duo had already moved on from all the issues as Pompeo announced she’ll be having Patrick Dempsey as one of her guests on her podcast’s launching and teased that it was fun to catch up with all his stuff.
According to her, it would be a great idea to give the fans 45 minutes of their time showing them what their conversations look like, especially when they do things together, like hiking or having lunch. Keep checking Celebrating The Soaps for more Grey’s Anatomy news and updates.
