Grey’s Anatomy: Kate Walsh Returns

Grey’s Anatomy“Grey’s Anatomy” aired the “Hotter Than Hell” episode, which featured Kate Walsh’s return in the iconic medical drama as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery.

Walsh joined the cast in the first season’s finale where she played Derek Shepherd’s (Patrick Dempsey) estranged wife. She stayed in the soap for several seasons before she left to star in the spinoff series “Private Practice”.

During their press conference on Monday, the 54-year-old actress expressed her excitement as she returned to the show. She happily embraced her friends while wearing their masks on.

“It was very emotional. It was like going back to your hometown and your family and your first best job ever all at once. It was a lot, it was great,” Kate told People.

Kate Walsh Teases “Sisterly Relationship” With Caterina Scorsone

Upon her return to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Dr. Addison Montgomery and Dr. Meredith Grey had a touching moment remembering the late Derek Shepherd.

Addison was thrilled to serve a new generation of residents and to perform surgery on her patient, Tova. She connected with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) to help her complete the procedure.

After the surgery, an intimate and moving moment happened between the two when they look back and grieve over Derek.

There’s more in store for the actress as she teased for more moving scenes with her on-screen former sister-in-law, Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), which will show more of their “sisterly relationship”.

When asked about how long she will stay in Grey’s, the actress replied: “For now, that’s what we’ve got planned just to have Addison pop in and we’ll see what happens, what transpires,” Kate told Deadline.

Last week, Kate Walsh posted a photo of her on Twitter as Dr. Addison Montgomery and she captioned it with “Truly blown away by everyone’s reaction and support for tonight’s episode. Thank you all for making this night so special! Feels like Addison never left.”

The post gained a lot of supportive messages from her followers and it thrilled the viewers to see Kate Walsh again on “Grey’s Anatomy”.

One fan commented with a video of Kate and Caterina embracing in a scene: “I cried so many tears today, Kate.”

“How good it is to have Addison Montgomery back,” one happily tweeted.
