During his interview with Entertainment Weekly, the soap’s Cormac “McWidow” Hayes gave hints what to expect in the upcoming episodes of Grey’s as his character was introduced to Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) who is managing her time between Seattle and Minnesota where Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman) was located, which will lead Cormac being close with Megan Hunt.
Flood believed that his character McWidow and Meredith have strong chemistry but they just had a hard time developing their relationship when Meredith experienced a coma during the last season.
In this season, he shared that there will be complicated adult relationships that are hard to deal with: “These are adult relationships and they’re complicated and timing is often very tricky, very difficult, and these characters are always being pulled in so many different directions. There will always be obstacles in the way.”
Grey’s Anatomy – New Character
Richard Flood also added that a new character, like Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer) will be introduced in the storyline which will create more trouble with other characters, especially Meredith, for a spark will ignite between them.
The 39-year-old actor did not tease more scenes, for the story will go in different directions depending on where the production wants the story to go. Knowing that there is still a lot of time to end Season 18, more plot twists are expected to happen in the soap.
Fans Share Their Tragic Ending Theory of the Medical Drama
Knowing that the longest-running medical drama has a lot of interesting twists in its storyline, the avid viewers came up with a tragic ending theory.
In the past seasons of the show, “Grey’s Anatomy” is not scared of killing iconic characters, like the sudden death of Denny Duquette (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in Season 2 and the car accident of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) in Season 11.
Fans have created their theory on the next tragic scenes of the soap. This time, an illness will embrace the show’s leading lady, Meredith Grey. Meredith will experience Alzheimer’s disease as a possibility to inherit her mom’s condition. Back in Season 9, Meredith often checked her genetic markers for the disease and the results always marked positive.
After all her character’s struggle, Meredith remained strong and continued to live. Some fans are saddened by the possibility of the illness, for they want their favorite character to live happily with Cormac Hayes. Is the show headed to this ending?
