Patrick Dempsey Unbothered By Grey’s Anatomy Exit Report Drama

Patrick Dempsey doesn’t care.  After all the alleged report resurfacing regarding his controversial exit on ABC’s long-running medical drama, “Grey’s Anatomy,” Patrick Dempsey shows no agitation when he broke his silence on his recent Instagram post.

The iconic Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd posted a picture on his social media account just a few days after the release of the story behind his exit from the medical show. Few passages were shared from the upcoming book “How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey’s Anatomy” by Entertainment Weekly’s Lynette Rice.

Everyone knew that Dr. Derek died in the series after getting hit by a truck. Six years after his exit, stories were popping up about HR issues in the set and a fight with his on-screen partner, Ellen Pompeo, and the show creator, Shonda Rhimes.

However, it seemed like the actor isn’t moved by the allegations as seen in his latest post. The 55-year-old actor was wearing athletic attire, a helmet, and sunglasses with a beautiful picture of an ocean as his background. Patrick was inviting everyone to register for the 2021 Dempsey Challenge.

Dempsey Challenge is an annual fundraising event that encourages everyone to join some athletic activities to help raise $1.5 million for the Dempsey Center to provide treatment for cancer patients which took place last weekend, September 25 and 26.

Grey’s Anatomy’s – Upcoming Book Reveals Patrick Dempsey Physical Fight with Isaiah Washington

Without a doubt, Grey’s Anatomy gives many revelations on and off cam on their upcoming book “How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey’s Anatomy”.

Another information came out regarding Patrick Dempsey’s physical fight with co-star Isaiah Washington that led to the latter’s firing from the iconic medical drama.

“Grey’s Anatomy” character Dr. Preston Burke, played by Isaiah Washington, was fired from the show after a homophobic shaming on set which everyone thinks that the violent expression was directed at T.R. Knight’s sexuality.

As documented by PEOPLE, there was an arguing match between Dempsey and Washington that later on became a physical fight because of some issues of being late in the set. “I think one of them had been late to set one day and the other one then decided to pay him back by being late himself,” says writer Mark Wilding.

Both Dempsey and Washington recalled that incident and expressed their thoughts in the tell-all book. Isaiah shared they must be mindful of what they will say.

As for Patrick Dempsey, he says, “I think the explosion really healed the show. No one passed the buck, and everyone owned up to the situation and moved on.”
