Riverdale spoilers and updates tease that Lili Reinhart commented on the possibility that the show may finally come to an end soon. The actress plays the role of Betty Cooper on the CW series.
Riverdale is currently on its sixth season and there has been no official announcement that it’ll be ending soon. Fans have been wondering if the show will soon wrap up its run.
When asked about it during an Instagram Live that happened back on November 30, the actress revealed that she has no clue. However, they’re hoping for a seventh season.
She then added, “And then that will probably be the last one.”
To be clear, there’s no official announcement that the series will end or if it will be renewed for another season. Since The CW usually announces renewal and cancellation in January, the network may offer official news about Riverdale next month.
Riverdale Spoilers – Upcoming Riverdale And Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Spellman Crossover
The sixth season of Riverdale has been an exciting one since many characters have been killed off.
Not only that, the show will have an upcoming crossover with The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Kiernan Shipka will be introduced as Sabrina Spellman in the upcoming fourth episode.
Riverdale’s showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa described the introduction to the TV series as “amazing.”
In an interview with TVLine, Aguirre-Sacasa shared that the writer’s room “all love horror and horror movies.” That’s why they were all excited to introduce such elements to the existing season.
He added that they’ve tried to play with the horror theme in the past but the show mostly deals with crime, suspense, and pulpy stuff.
So, it wasn’t difficult for them to say yes to The CW’s offer to do a five-part event. Aguirre-Sacasa said he loves those things but they never really had the chance to do so.

Riverdale Spoilers – Finally Ventures Into The Supernatural
“It’s a very Cheryl/Madelaine [Petsch]-heavy episode,” Aguirre-Sacasa teased.
“They had such an amazing rapport, and it felt so natural… It felt both like [it was] worth the wait, and ‘Why didn’t we do this sooner?” he continued.
Fans have been asking when they’ll do a horror theme and it seems like they’ll finally get their wish. Aguirre-Sacasa shared that it’s the best time to finally go into supernatural or overt horror.
The five-part event will feature a different horror sub-genre for each installment. But there will be an “overarching narrative” to all five installments.
