The Fox Show will follow Susan Sarandon, aka the Queen of country music, as she goes the extra mile to protect the family.

This Wednesday, the trailer for the upcoming series was dropped, revealing how the latest season will play out. As the reigning family in country music continues to rise, they are met with many challenges that threaten to tarnish their family’s reputation.

Starring Susan Sarandon, Trace Adkins and Anna Friel, with country stars Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Tanya Tucker and Little Big Town guest starring.

Based in Texas, the trailer starts by showing viewers glimpses of the main characters, as Sarandon’s character, Dottie Cantrell Roman, says, “We are the first family of country music, now and forever.”

“I never wanted to just be a star. I want to create a dynasty, and I have,” she continues. “But the strength to do whatever it takes to protect the family, well, we have to work on that.”

We see the bright stage lights and then the dark woods of night as Adkins’ Albie Roman flicks a gun into position, declaring “A Roman never forgets an enemy.”

Monarch – Love Making Business Affairs

The trailer also takes us back to a scene when the Roman’s daughter Nicolette “Nicky” Roman (Friel), warns her mother that what she’s embarking on “is a sin”. Dottie, however, counters the argument by saying that “If there’s a hell, I booked my ticket years ago.”

To send fans’ anticipation through the roof, we hear a voice say, “Most people should tell the truth, but we are not most people. We’re the Romans,” before the trailer concludes.

We also see flashes of love making, business affairs, burying dead bodies and even setting buildings ablaze. Like I said earlier, the Romans will stop at nothing to protect their secrets.
