“NCIS Hawaii” Season 3 Details: From Returning Characters To Release Date

“NCIS: Hawaii” made “NCIS“ history in its first season by being the first of the show’s spinoffs to feature a female lead. And now it’s returning for its third run.

“NCIS: Hawaii” Season 3 Premiere Date Revealed

The “NCIS” franchise has grown to be one of the most successful franchises for CBS, so much so that it has given birth to a few spinoffs, including “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “NCIS: New Orleans” and “NCIS: Hawaii.”

The original series is now entering its 21st season, with its latest spin-off “NCIS: Hawaii” also gearing up for a new set of episodes.

“NCIS Hawaii” Season 3 Details: From Returning Characters To Release Date

Launched in 2021, the new installment follows “NCIS’” first female Special Agent Jane Tennant, played by Vanessa Lachey, who oversees “Pearl Harbor.”

In February this year, “NCIS: Hawaii” and the original series were both renewed, and while they were both expected to hit CBS in the fall of 2023, the actors’ and writers’ strikes meant production was delayed.

This meant that the premiere had to be pushed back to February 12 next year, since production resumed just after the writers’ strike ended in November.

So far, there’s been no news of any major cast changes, which means fans can expect to see Lachey reprise her role as Jane, alongside Noah Mills’ Jesse Boon, Yasmine Al-Bustami’s Lucy Tara, Alex Tarrant’s Kai Holman, Tori Anderson’s Kathrine Marie Whistler and Jason Antoon’s Ernie Malik.

Will There Be Any Crossover Episodes This “NCIS: Hawaii” Season?

Well, if fans can remember, the last season ended with original “NCIS” character Wilmer Valderrama and “NCIS: Los Angeles’” LL Cool J making an appearance. Cool J’s performance in the previous season was so good, he was asked to return.

“All of us at ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ have been huge fans of LL Cool J for years and couldn’t be more thrilled or honored to be adding his spectacular talent to our ohana for season three,” executive producers Matt Bosack, Jan Nash and Christopher Silber told Variety.

Come February and we will get to know how the “NCIS: Hawaii” crew will fend off the danger they’ve been put in by someone from Jane’s past.
