See Mark Harmon’s Cheeky Response To Gibbs Returning To “NCIS”

I know, I know, fans want to see Leroy Jethro Gibbs return to “NCIS.” We’ve missed his witty remarks, haven’t we? His serious crime solving and his enigmatic white hair. Yes, I said it. But um… according to former co-star Mark Harmon, he’s fishing. Yup.

Could “NCIS’s” Tribute To David McCallum Bring Back Our Old Favorites?

The reality of keeping up with a long running television program is that we see people come and leave the show. However, due to David McCallum’s passing in September, and the news that the network means to honor his contribution to the show with a touching tribute, it’s possible we could get to see our old favorites this coming season 21.

David McCallum played Ducky on the show in its first 20 seasons, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if the network went above and beyond to pay tribute to the star who’s been a constant on the show for so long.

This means it’s possible that Leroy Jethro Gibbs or even Mark Harmon, who left the show in its 19th season, might return for the special tribute episode.

In a recent interview with ET, Harmon addressed speculations about Gibbs returning to the detective drama show, saying that Gibbs is “probably sitting in a stream up in Alaska fishing.” As to whether he might consider putting fishing on break to make a grand return to “NCIS,” he added vaguely, “I don’t know. But if he is, I don’t know about it.”

As of this moment, no one knows the direction the tribute episode could take and whether we’ll see David McCallum’s Ducky get a memorable farewell scene in the upcoming season.

The season will premiere on Monday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. ET. Immediately the writers strike was called off, the show’s writers went right back to work to try to keep up with the schedule.

Now, With The Actors Strike Over, The Cast Is Expected To Get Back On Set And Start Filming After Thanksgiving.

Whilst we wait to see whether Gibbs will make a surprise return, you can watch the first 19 seasons that are now available on Paramount+.
