NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS Halts Production Due to Omicron Surge

NCIS Los Angeles spoilers and updates tease that the show has halted its production until sometime in February because of the surge in Omicron cases.
They went on a brief hiatus for the holidays and was supposed to restart production for its current 13th season later in January. Additionally, NCIS was scheduled to resume its production this week after its holiday break. But due to the surge in COVID cases, filming new scenes was temporarily paused as well.
Both shows don’t expect the halt in production to affect their on-air schedules.
NCIS Los Angeles Spoilers – Return Of Other ABC Shows Pushed Back Due to Omicron Surge
Aside from NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles, the return of other shows have been pushed back as well because of the surge in Omicron cases in the U.S. These shows include Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, The Rookie and General Hospital.
Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 were scheduled to resume their production in January 10. The date of their return was pushed back to January 12. As for The Rookie, the length of the delay in production remains unknown.
The decision to delay the resumption of production is not because of any COVID outbreak in any of the shows but as a precautionary step taken by ABC Signature, the studio behind these shows.
NCIS Los Angeles Spoilers – General Hospital Delays Production Schedule
As for General Hospital, its production has been delayed until next week. The daytime drama will resume production in the week of January 10-14. But if things go as expected, there will be no changes to its on-air schedule.
There’s always a possibility of delays in production because of the pandemic but the show is doing everything to keep everyone safe while finding ways for production to resume as soon as possible. It’s just a short delay in production and the soap will be back filming new scenes again.

NCIS/NCIS: Hawai’i Crossover Continues Production
As for the previously announced crossover between NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i, the production for the said episode remains in production. The episode is expected to air on Monday, March 28, 2022.
In the upcoming episode, Hawaii Five-0 alum Katrina Law previously teased that she’s returning to the Aloha State. Her colleague, Wilmer Valderama also hinted about the crossover. Law plays the role of Jessica Knight while Valderrama takes on the role of Nick Torres on NCIS.
