‘Shameless’ Spoilers: Shar Jackson Joins Showtime Cast

Shar Jackson, a former star actress of the Moesha series, was recently selected to play a recurring role in Showtime’s hit series, ‘Shameless’. This is the eleventh and last season of the series. Jackson is expected to play the role of Constance; a lady in her mid-40s who resides in Louisville and has a cousin, named, Veronica(played by Shanola Hampton).

The last season of the series features William H. Macy. However, due to the impact of the Covid pandemic that struck last year, certain changes have been put in place. This has left South Side and the Gallagher family at a crossroad as they struggle to improve as well as accommodate one another.

The series also features other ensembled actors. They include Kate Miner, Steve Howey, Shanola Hampton, Noel Fisher, Ethan Cutkosky, Jeremy Allen, Christian Isaiah, and Cameron Monaghan.

Paul Abbott created the show. However, the show was produced by Bonanza Productions in partnership with Warner Bros Television and John Wells Productions.

Shar Jackson is an American actress. Jackson was born in Boston and began her acting career when she was barely 3 years old. She is popularly known for her break-out role in the famous Sitcom, Moesha. In the series, she played Niecy Jackson, a great friend of the title’s character. She has also starred in several other movies such as My so-called life and crystal, Great Burger which she starred alongside Kenan Thompson and Kell Mitchell. The latter, in no small measure, endeared her to her fans.

Shar also starred in the reality series by ABC, titled, The Ex-Wives Club. The reality series featured star actors like Angie Everhart and Marla Maples. The series was created for men and women who were facing difficulties after experiencing a breakup or divorce. Jackson in 2009 also starred in the movie I do… I did. She subsequently appeared in the dance-based movie: Steppin.

Jackson also had a brief stint as a member of the musical group, Mpulz. She was quite influential as before the group disbanded in the early 2000s, she was added to their Soundtrack of Princess Diaries. However, throughout the formation of the pop group, they only released a track before they ended in 2002.

In 2007, during an MTV reality show organized for Celebrities, Sha Jackson emerged the winner and was crowned the ultimate superstar.

Jackson’s personal life has not been without media coverage. In the early 2000s, she got engaged to Kevin Federline. The union was blessed with a girl and boy ( born in 2002 and 2004 respectively). The couple however separated few months before Kaleb was delivered. The breakup was, however, traced to Federline’s affairs with pop singer, Britney Spears. Jackson while commenting on their breakup opined that it felt like breaking a family rather than a relationship. She nonetheless praised Federline’s style of parenting.

Jackson has also obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology while she got her Masters’ degree from the Forensic department.
