Station 19 Fans React To ABC Cancellation With Petition: How To Sign

Season 19 Spoilers – Season 7 To End Show?

ABC just unveiled its decision to cancel Station 19. And fans have headed to social media to plead with the network to reverse the decision, per Pop Culture.

In its announcement, ABC revealed that the upcoming season seven of Station 19 will mark its last. However, this show’s fans proved their devotion by doing more than complaining on social media about the cancellation. 

And to try to get the network to reverse its decision, Station 19 viewers created a petition. Such fan-driven campaigns have worked before. But will the latest one succeed?

Station 19 Spoilers – How To Sign Petition

Because of their determination, Station 19 fans have quickly persuaded a growing number of viewers to sign the petition on Change.org. And fans set a goal of getting ABC to continue Station 19 past season seven.

At this time, the petition creators hoped to get at least 25,000 fans to sign it. And the Change.org petition page reads in all capital letters, “STATION 19 HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST FAN BASES WITH HUGE RATINGS. SIGN AND SHARE TO SAVE THE SHOW!”

However, the petition organizers also praised Station 19 writers for featuring “LGBTQIA+ representation.” And they noted, “The upcoming seventh season will be the last for ABC‘s Station 19. The decision, early in production on the season, would allow producers to craft a proper ending for the first responder drama, a spin-off from the network’s flagship Grey’s Anatomy.”

Station 19 Spoilers – Grey’s Anatomy Crossovers

And amid what ABC plans as its final season, Station 19 will air its 100th episode. Station 19 did receive a boost via Grey’s Anatomy crossovers. And those helped Station 19 rank in the second spot amid ABC’s dramas, just behind Grey’s Anatomy.

ABC will premiere the seventh season of Station 19 on March 14. And the show also will make a move from 8 PM to 10 PM on Thursday. As a result, it will follow Grey’s Anatomy rather than serve as its lead-in.

Station 19 takes place in Seattle. And it features the staff at Seattle Fire Station 19. The cast includes Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss, Alberto Frezza, Jay Hayden, Okieriete Onaodowan, Danielle Savre, Miguel Sandoval, Boris Kodjoe, Stefania Spampinato, Carlos Miranda, Josh Randall, Merle Dandridge, and Pat Healy.

But beyond the petition, fans have begun a Twitter campaign. And they have used two hashtags, #DoNotCancelStation19 and #SaveStation19, in an effort to get ABC to keep the show on the air.

Since its debut in 2018, Station 19 has sought to tackle topical issues. For instance, the show has explored the LGBTQ+ community, police brutality, and fertility challenges.
