Ted Lasso will be back on our screens soon!! Don’t whisper it, scream it from the top of your lungs so that those at the back would hear you! Ted Lasso season 3 is coming soon! It’s been highly anticipated for nearly two years since the release of season 2 which left us on our toes with curiosity on what would transpire between Ted Lasso, and his traitor assistant coach, Nate.
Don’t tell me it’s been that long and you no longer remember who Nate is. Nate is the once-upon-a-time timid kit man whom Ted welcomed into his coaching team because of his incredible knowledge and coaching skills.
Anyways, Nate’s new role got into his head and he felt he wasn’t heard enough so, out of anger he left AFC Richmond which is owned by Rupert Mannion’s ex-wife Rebecca Welton (she got after their divorce), and joined their rival club West Ham United (owned by Rupert Mannion) as their new head coach.
Ted Lasso — Ted Lasso 3 Plots And Casts
The plot of Ted Lasso 3 is not yet revealed but best believe it’s gonna evolve around Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and Nate (Nick Mohammed) competing against each other to become Champions or the better club.
The new streamer which was released this January 18, featured Ted and Nate staring down at each other in an elevator. While Ted had his unbothered, calm, and collected smile plastered on his face, Nate had that look of someone about to eliminate a real threat, on his face. The picture also includes Rupert Mannion looking at the two.
Although it’s certain that season 3 will be out soon, talks of season 4 haven’t been heard but, when Apple TV+ announced details of the third season earlier this month, they didn’t say that the series will be wrapped up in its third season.
Speaking of Nate’s traitor character, last year August, Nick told E! News exclusively that he knew that his character would eventually turn on Ted. “I knew quite early, Jason had pretty much, broadly speaking, outlines for Nate in seasons one, two and three. So I’ve always known where it’s heading.” Said Nick.
As for whether any cast member would be axed, well, Melissa McCoy the editor of Ted Lasso told “Hollywood Reporter” last year that every cast member would return. “Everybody is back and in new ways,” said Melissa.
Ted Lasso — Keeley Jones’s Character Would Return For Season 3
Following how Juno Temple’s character Keeley found a new job outside AFC Richmond, there were speculations that Keeley won’t return in season 3, but in March last year, the actress assured her fans on Twitter that she would be in season 3. “Don’t worry my loves,” Juno wrote on Twitter. “Keeley will be on screen power walking her way through season 3 x #TedLasso.”
Speaking of new casts, Melissa revealed to E! News “We have new blood on the team, and that invigorates what’s happening in the locker room.”
As for if the film will have spinoffs, Toheeb Jimoh who played the role of Sam Obisanya a Nigerian player for AFC Richmond shared to E! News last year August that he hopes there’s a spinoff for the film.
Toheeb said he wants the spinoff to feature his Sam character as a restaurant owner, “I keep trying to pitch this to them, People keep laughing. But I’m being serious, bro. I want a show with Sam in the restaurant on Apple TV. Let’s make it happen!”
The release date for Ted Lasso season 3 is not yet out but, it’ll premiere this 2023.
