Yellowjackets Season Two Trailer Excites Fans For March Return

It’s been a while since fans last received new episodes of Showtimes plane crash mystery Yellowjackets. Season one dropped way back in November of 2021 before wrapping its 10 episode run in January of 2022.

Will Yellowjackets Answer Fans Questions In Season Two?

For fans of the show, they were left wanting more after the binge worthy season that left many with lots of questions and theories. The biggest question that still remains – who survived those horrid 18 months out in the middle of the wilderness?

Aside from wondering who made it to adulthood alongside Shauna (played by Melanie Lynskey), Misty (Christine Ricci) and Natalie (Juliette Lewis), there is the mystery of who is terrorizing the women in present day, as well as what went down in the woods when it came the stomach turning scenes of cannabinolism, fighting and more.

A Look At The Season Ahead

Now the trailer for season two has dropped giving fans a small look at what is ahead. It doesn’t reveal much, making sure to maintain its mystery, but promises the series will return to delve back into the past following the plane crash as the teens try to survive. The show is also set to showcase present day with Shauna, Misty and the others as adults still being haunted by their past.

In the trailer, an older Natalie is undergoing therapy to try and cope with the past while Misty also tries as she is seen telling herself not to cry. It looks like the darkness came back with them, they admit. Actor Elijah Wood is also introduced as he sits in a car with the adult version of Misty commenting on their dysfunctional and scary lives. “Kidnapping, cults, death… Your friendships are a little bit more complicated than most,” he tells her.

Yellowjackets – Set To Introduce New Characters

The rest of the trailer features a quick collage of the girls in their younger years and older, in the dark snowy woods and their small town as they realize they are not alone. Not seen in the trailer but set to star in the second season of Yellowjackets is actress Lauren Ambrose from Six Feet Under. She will star as the older version of Van, the young teen girl who was attacked by a wolf.

Yellowjackets season two will premiere on Showtime’s streaming platform on March 24 and on the network on March 26.
