Yellowstone spoilers, news, and updates tease that Cole Hauser shared some disappointing news about the production of the show’s fifth season. The actor, who plays the role of Rip Wheeler, gave an update as to when the second half would return.
The actor said that fans would have to wait longer because Yellowstone won’t be returning by the summer of 2023. During a Q&A session with fans at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, he said that the production of the second half of the season hasn’t started yet and it would most likely begin by May.
“You know, we’ll see what’s next, but right now I’m focused on giving you guys 5B, you’ve been waiting for it a little while!” Hauser said. “But we’re trying to go back to work in May, so hopefully that’ll happen,” he added.
Yellowstone – Is Yellowstone Ending With Season 5?
Season 5 is currently in production and rumors have been circulating that the show may come to an end soon because of issues with Costner’s demands to cut back his role.
There’s no official announcement that the fifth season would be the last and any update about its future will have to wait until season 5’s remaining episodes are released. Aside from that, the actor also dashed fans’ hopes that the show will return in the summer of 2023.
The actor remained mum when asked whether season 5 will be Yellowstone’s last. The season’s first half ended back in January and there’s no update on whether it’ll be ending anytime soon. Also, Taylor Sheridan, the creator of the series, is currently working on several spinoffs.
There have been reports that Matthew McConaughey may join the cast as a lead star moving forward. However, a Paramount spokesperson cleared things up and said that Costner isn’t going anywhere. “Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone, and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come,” the spokesperson shared.
Yellowstone – Cole Hauser Enjoys Working With Kelly Reilly
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hauser said that he loves working with Kelly Reilly, the actress behind the character of Beth Dutton.
“I would love to continue working with her. And Taylor (Sheridan, creator of “Yellowstone”). That’s why I say yes, and I think, if it presented itself of course I’d definitely entertain it,” he said. “You’d never know what she and I could get into. With Taylor writing, it could be a really interesting show,” he added.
Announcements have been made that he’ll be part of the cast of an upcoming Yellowstone prequel series, 1883: The Bass Reeves Story. Fans are excited to get further updates, but the actor is keeping quiet about the details, for now.
