Yellowstone Season 5, Longest Thus Far, Will Come In Two Parts

According to Screen Rant, the fifth season of Yellowstone will be the longest for the popular series since it first premiered in 2018. With 14 episodes it was evidentially big enough, the network felt it should be split into two parts. Yellowstone Season 5 – What Is ‘Yellowstone’ About?

For those who are new, Yellowstone wrapped its last (fourth) season on January 28 and, to date, has released 39 episodes. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the modern or Neo-Western series follows the lives and trials of the Dutton family, owners of The Yellowstone Ranch, the largest ranch in Montana.

Throughout the series, the Dutton family must contend with the Indian Reservation, which shares a border with The Yellowstone/Dutton Ranch, as well as fend off hungry land developers. The conflicts that broil, amid a family with such troubles to contend with, take priority though as John Dutton, the Yellowstone patriarch struggles to hold his family together.

Yellowstone Season 5 – Expect Season 5 Earlier Than Most

According to The Wall Street Journal, the fifth season of Yellowstone will consist of 14 episodes split down the middle in two installments of seven episodes. Coming earlier than most seasons, Yellowstone fans can expect the first part of the season to begin in Summer, 2022.

The premiere season will coincide with another anticipated Sheridan series, Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone as legendary Italian mobster, Sal. Apparently, according to Screen Rant, the first two episodes of Season 5 will run on the Paramount Network, and then the show will move over to Paramount+ for the duration.

Yellowstone Season 5 – Taylor Sheridan Has Been Very Busy

Along with Yellowstone, 1883, 1932, 6666 in the Yellowstone Universe, and the Tulsa King, Taylor Sheridan is also working on a show called Land Man that will feature Billy Bob Thornton as well as the second season of Mayor of Kingstown starring Jeremy Renner all of which will be seen on the Paramount+ network.

Fans of Yellowstone might recall that, before his stellar work on Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan appeared on Sons of Anarchy as Deputy Chief Hale. Some might not be aware though that, after SOA Sheridan took up screenwriting on such award-winning projects as Hell or High Water, Wind River, Sicario, and Those Who Wish Me Dead.
