Yellowstone Spoilers: Fans Find Proof That Costner’s Contract Has Officially Ended

Yellowstone spoilers reveal that fans have finally seen the proof that Kevin Costner is done with the show for good. It turns out that some eagle-eyed fans have been doing their research and discovered that he is no longer under contact with the show.

Costner, who plays John Dutton on the hit show, was rumored to be at odds with writer, Taylor Sheridan. As the fifth and final season is coming to an end, it looks as if Costner may not even be featured in it at all. Let’s find out more.

Season 5 and Ending

Not only has Costner been dealing with the ending of Yellowstone, but he is also filming a new movie and his wife recently filed for divorce. It turns out that with everything going on, Costner has completely cut ties with Yellowstone.

On June 30, he told his fans, “I will earn substantially less in 2023 that I did in 2022. This is because I am no longer under contract for Yellowstone, the principal source of my income last year.” Rumor has it that he made $1.3 million per episode last year alone!

Costner went on, “Now, any compensation I earn from Yellowstone will derive only from my back-end contractual participation rights, which amounts are not fixed. The most recent report from the producer for Yellowstone shows I am not now owed any participation money.”

Sheridan Weighs In

With all of the rumors going around about arguments on set and bad blood between Costner and Sheridan, Sheridan said, “Whether Dutton’s fate inflates Costner’s ego or insult it is collateral damage that I don’t factor in with regard to storytelling.”

According to Sheridan, the final part of Season 5 has yet to begin filming. This leaves so much in the air as far as the cast and the end of the series is concerned. There are so many holes in the plot still and fans just want to know when they can expect to see more.

Sheridan is working on other spin-off series, but Yellowstone has been a huge part of fans’ lives ever since it began. They are incredibly upset that the series is ending, but they have high hopes that another spin-off will be just as good, if not better.

Sheridan wants to make fans happy and feels that if he expands the Yellowstone universe, good things are going to come to fans. We will just have to keep an eye on Sheridan to see what he has up his sleeve next for us. Fans hope to see another western!
