Henry Winkler, who stars in the third season of the HBO hit, “Barry,” which premiered yesterday, is quite a huge success in his own right having starred in at least 36 films as well as over a 100 television shows – but he’s also a fan. Continue reading and we’ll tell you how he came to shower “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan with praise.
Yellowstone – Bringing Winkler’s Extensive Acting Experience to Bear
Henry Winkler told E! Online, “During the pandemic, we watched television from Mexico, Spain, India, South Korea,” adding that, “the streamers are incredible. HBO, Apple, HBO Max. I’m telling you; TV is king right now.”
With his extensive experience in both film and television, the “Waterboy” actor knows a little about television and film history. His first television spot was as Steve Waldman on an episode of the Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1973. However, it wasn’t till he took on the role of Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli, in 11 seasons of “Happy Days,” that his star truly rose.
Yellowstone – Henry Winkler Says He’s A Fan Of ‘Yellowstone’ And ‘1883’
It’s certain that Winkler has reviewed as many television shows as anyone but, it was the modern western “Yellowstone” that inspired him to write a letter to the show’s creator.
According to E! Online the venerated actor said, “Yellowstone” is great. “1883” is great,” adding, “I wrote a fan letter to Taylor Sheridan.”

Yellowstone – Winkler Tells Sheridan, ‘We Are Loving Every Episode’
The fact that the great Henry Winkler took the time to write “Yellowstone” creator and actor Taylor Sheridan a letter praising the western has to be one of Sheridan’s high points in life. “I said it’s amazing to spend time with your storytelling because we are loving every episode of these things,” the actor told E!.
Not to jump the gun though, it doesn’t appear that Winkler has any inclination to appear on an episode of “Yellowstone” as he said, “I’m very happy where I am.” The 76-year-old actor is currently starring in the dark comedy, “Barry” as Gene Cousineau.
The actor-director says that his work with Bill Hader is one of the most synergistic experiences he’s ever had. Be sure and stay up to date on all your favorite “Yellowstone” cast members and return here often for more spoilers, news, and updates.
