British royal family news shows that Prince Andrew made waves this week when he attended his father’s memorial at Westminster Abbey. That in and of itself is not so ludicrous, after all he is said to be his mother’s favorite child and the service was attended by roughly 1,800 other people.

But it was the way in which Andrew was front and center that made jaws drop. The word disgraced is nowadays cemented in front of Andrew’s name so his stunning upstaging of even the queen was too much for some to bear.

The rude show on Andrew’s part was so insulting that Princes Charles and William reportedly will do everything in their power to not let it happen again according to one royal expert. The royal watcher suggests that it is highly unlikely Andrew is allowed to show his face and pull a similar stunt at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

The memorial service for Prince Philip was held on Tuesday. The duke died last April but Covid rules limited the funeral to just 30 individuals. Disgraced Andrew was the talk of the town after he was the one to escort the Queen down the aisle of Westminster Abbey. His insertion of himself back into public life, “has reportedly led some in the royal family to accuse the disgraced prince of trying to worm his way back into the limelight following his sex scandal,” according to Metro.

The outlet went on to call his appearance “brazen” and a, “test (of) the water,” for a return to public life. If so, the public’s reaction was swift and nearly unanimous: stay under your rock, Andrew.

Now it is said that Prince Charles and Prince William are against any additional public role for the man who last month settled a sexual assault charge case for millions, out of court.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam told The Mirror, “I don’t expect we will see Prince Andrew appear in the near future – if ever again. He won’t play any kind of role in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, of that I think we can be quite sure. Prince Charles and William will be totally opposed to it, it’s a non-starter.”

Royal Family News – Will Andrew Stay In His Lane?

Fitzwilliam noted that his epic moment at the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial was the queen’s way of, “allowing him to physically support her after she supported him.”

And yet, if that is the case, the public is not entirely on board. It has been rumored that Prince Andrew paid a reported £12 million settlement to his sex assault accuser Virginia Giuffre with funds given by his mother and Charles, something which led to outraged headlines and commentary. Andrew may have a face only a mother can love, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the populace wants him in their faces.
